What was traditionally five has now been whittled down to two, at least for a limited time while supplies last.

Bone Thugs-n-Harmony members Bizzy Bone and Krayzie Bone have joined forces for a new album rollout titled New Waves underneath the moniker, “Bone Thugs.” The two rap legends are not-so-arguably the best possible duo combination out of the multi-platinum Cleveland quintet and their debut project is slated to hit the market this summer.

Their new single, “Coming Home,” features the talents of reggae royalty Stephen Marley and is produced by acclaimed Dutch studio visionaries Clifford Goilo and Avedon, and legendary American hit-man Damizza, of Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube and Nate Dogg fame. The emotive record definitely aims to be a lighter-raising anthem (or cell phones seeing that it is 2017) for future arena appearances.

“We love the process of making music so this wasn’t a hard album for us to make,” Bizzy “says” of recording New Waves in a press release. “We have so much history with not only eOne Music, but with eOne Music President Alan Grunblatt. He’s the same dude we’ve had all our success with since E. 1999 Eternal. Everything we’ve ever done has been successful with Alan. So we’re comfortable with knowing that our project is in good hands.”

Krayzie “chimes” in: “This album is a breath of fresh air coming from Bone. We wanted to give this project a different look. That’s where the album title comes from: New Waves. We will always be a group…we will always be Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, but this is different than from the norm. This is Bone Thugs.”

This isn’t the first Bone Thugs-n-Harmony offset group in their 25-year existence. In 2005, Bizzy Bone and Layzie Bone collaborated for the album Bone Brothers and once again for the sequel in 2007.

In a December 2016 interview with HipHopDX, the entire group (sans Bizzy) went into great detail about their longstanding unity so Krayzie’s comments on them not breaking up have reinforced previous proclamations.

New Waves’ first single, “Coming Home,” can be streamed down below.

    1. That goes so hardddddddd. I always liked Wish Bone and Bizzy as a combination tho, so yea it’s arguable.

      1. Wait…Wish and Bizzy? Lol maybe if you said Layzie you could of had an argument. Wish is easily the weakest link and it should come to no surprise that is probably the reason why he never dropped a solo album.

        1. Agreed wish stop trying back in like 2002, I have heard rumors that krayzie ghostwrote for him on East 1999 eternal don’t know if it is true but if you go back in listen to it Wish is on another level on that album and creeping on tha come up then huge drop off on art of war. But even tho he is the least talented he is liked a lot by Btnh fans because he is very geniune and a good dude.

        2. I think it was because he was the slowest out the group I could understand and actually rap the words. But I’m probably the only person outside of MGK who waited for that solo album once all the members were regularly droppin good ish.

          1. Lol naw I wanted it too, solo albums you get that personal stuff we never got that from Big Wish

    2. So I guess this is def official I heard rumors about this project never thought it was going to happen, love the song album should be
      dope.

      1. Hopefully so if this single is fresh to me, I know a lot of Btnh fans are not going to like it because they still wanna hear that mo murda stuff but I think they passed that phase a long time ago so those fans that still think they are in that phase needs to just move on, or catch their shows they usually perform their classics.

    3. I haven’t heard Bone thugs on good production like this since the Strength and Loyalty days when they were working with
will i am, swizz beatz, timbeland, Akon. This seems very promising, also as a bone thugs fan I think Uneek isn’t really good for them anymore, be good to have him on like one or two tracks on the album but for the most part his beats still sound like they come from
art of war era. Don’t know who produced coming home but it’s banging.

    4. They just never sound right without at least the 4 of them that were on the biggest hits. I don’t need to hear Flesh on a song, but missing Layzie and Wish makes it seem like something is missing.

      1. Sounds good to me Bizzy and Krayzie are the 2 dopest members in the group, at times Krayzie has carried the group on albums and songs when Bizzy was missing and Flesh was locked up. The majority of Bone thugs n harmony fans prob would prefer just a album with these two vs a 5 man album at times wish can bring a song down instead of uplifting it. Flesh hasn’t realized yet that when he raps in his regular voice he is dope but when he does that whispering flow it’s not good.

        1. I just always felt like they complemented each other well, the 4 I mentioned. Flesh always seemed like I could take him or leave him, but those other 4 seemed like a part of a harmony set and when I just get one or 2, something’s missing. Even Wish brings that to it to me, granted that his parts of the song were the most slept on, but it was like Voltron or some shit with all of them. Krayzie was always my favorite, and I know lots of people were Bizzy fans, but when they did solo stuff, I wasn’t feeling much of it, again going back to feeling like the others not being on the tracks seemed like something was missing.

        2. *BINGO* I’ve always thought & felt the same exact way! Especially Flesh with that whispering flow he does & another issue I have is when all 5 members do a song together…many times the song will drag on & on because some of the members (especially Flesh) will spit 32 or more bars on a song will all the members.

    5. I’m looking forward to New Waves I just hope that the production is top notch like Coming Home. All Krayzie Bone has ever needed was good production that’s it. Kray has good lyrics flow, hooks but the production has always been lacking.

    6. Need to get a release date sooner than later next month would be good, I hate when artist drop a single and the album comes out like 6 months later might as well release this soon, kray and B would get support from bone fans as well as hiphop heads they like good music.

    7. Krayzie bone should be dropping at least 2 albums a year i wanna see him scrap the Ctd concept and just drop some fire new music

    8. Always good to see guys you grew up on still make good music. A lot of the times rappers that’s been around 20+ years don’t grow and they drop music that’s just not good and expect people that are die hard hip hop fans to support them just because of who they are it doesn’t work like that. This is good music just by hearing the first single I know for sure I will be supporting the album when it drops.

    9. eOne needs to release this like a couple weeks or so after the first video drops please don’t be like other labels that drop the single in Feb and albums comes out like Nov. So I hope they got it done and ready to go

      1. Me being a huge Bone thugs n harmony I can tell you that you shouldn’t expect it too soon I know how they do they prob aint even finish recording it, I mean i hope they are but I doubt it, after hearing coming home I really want this album haven’t felt this way about a btnh album since S&L

    10. They need a street record next up….some dark fucked up Trap beats, we all want to hear them out rap Migos with their own style. FUCK MIGOS HYPE!!!

        1. Naw dark music is not them anymore, maybe some struggle music but not dark. Those trap beats aren’t good anyway, they need some soulful jazzy stuff

        2. lol none of you have a musical ear whatsoever..this song has trap elements in it, as all songs these days…smh listen to the hi-hats and drums..just the melody is more complex

        3. lol none of you have a musical ear whatsoever..this song has trap elements in it, as all songs these days.. listen to the hi-hats and drums..just the melody is more complex

    11. damn look like Bizzy back on them antidepressants gaining all kinds of weight again.. he was super fat at one point then he lost the weight and lately he was skinny again.. now he back to doughboy

      1. Naw dude is as healthy as he has ever been he has bulked up because he lifts and hit the gym on the regular, all you have to do is check out his IG. He has bulked up just a little not much but he def hasn’t gained that much weight at all. You kinda sound like a hater too

        1. Keyboard warrior huh, his fans care if you’re a fan of someone then you usually have a genuine interest in their well being, health etc. You would always want to see them do good and be well

      1. Yep great flow, nice production if you’re a fan Tom you should def be excited for the new album called New Waves the album features the other members of Bone Thugs, Bun B, Uncle Murda, Tank, Stephen Marley, Joelle James with production from Scott Storch, Damizza, Pozition who is really underrated when it comes to production.

    12. Nice production! Krayzie and Bizzy, definitely the dopest in Bone. Marley on the hook was nice. Looking out for this album for sure.

    13. These 2 doing a album together should be good I would love to hear smooth jazzy sound from them since they have that harmony

    14. Krayzie and Bizzy making an album together is like having a bowl of Lucky Charms with just the Marshmallows.

Sounds like a great idea, but something is missing.

      1. Indeed. Leo P. I would’ve loved to see all the members of the group, together forever. But I’m feeling these two together..talent is talent. Krayzie Bone is my favorite ? . I never been into rap music like that, but from the first time the came onto the scene, with that unique melodic sound, I fell in love with them. Bone Thugs fo Life!

      2. mainstream quality production is key. but they dont have the backing for that anymore.

nobody wants to back an album and spend money on production when they know these kids arent buying these days anyway. they can download it for free or stream.

        want proof?

listen to chasing the devil. wack as fuck

    15. Bizzy and Krayzie are the only 2 members that I recall that quit the group. They eventually came back though. Bizzy wasn’t on the Strength & Loyalty album and Krayzie made a short video saying he left the group 6-7 years ago

    16. Everyone needs to support this project to let them know hip hop needs them. These are legends and some of the best to ever touch a mic and all these rappers need to paying them residuals for stealing their flow.

      1. you know good and damn well that nobody’s gonna buy this album. all the “real hip hop” heads always complain about how their favorite rappers never get sales but they never go out and support. meanwhile, drake, yachty, uzi and migos are getting all the sales and streams, meaning these are the ones who people wanna listen to and support, not some washed up bone thugs.

        1. All your favorite rappers are faker then the toothfairy BTNH ova any new gay rapper or old that has hits on the radio ?

        2. Watch ur mouth kid !! Dont dissrespect the legends !! The fake rappers u just named are nothing but trash period !!! They cant even freestyle and have good lyrics its all about money, cars, bitches thats not hip hop thats pure trash Bone can destroy them easy if it comes to lyrics and freestyle!! Ur just a kid who doesnt know a damn thing !!!

    17. Bone fans been waiting on this one for years especially after that first Bone brothers album, this should be better though

    18. I always thought Jazza Pha was good fit to produce records for these two specifically, he produced a BTNH song years back
called stay down it was a smooth banging song

    19. Number one fan…. but why not just be the regular group unless the other members are doing features because they actually done with music and retiring

    20. They already used the “bone thugs” moniker for the “still creepin on ah come up” album with bizzy and layzie…

and how come no dj paul feature/production? that would have made it dope as fuck. this album sounds soft.

      1. Idk man Bun B, Uncle Murda, Bone thugs, Jazza Pha seems like a good lineup to me plus tank and Stephen Marley

    21. all right, since y’all “real hip hop” heads on they nuts so hard, this better beat yachty’s sales at least. if not, i got a nice, tall glass of “i told you so” waiting for me to sip down in the fridge.

      1. Idiot :)) new generation these days will always get more sales and views !! So u wanna tell me that ur fake ass rapper is better than eminem, bone thugs specialy krayzie bone, dmx, ice cube, rakim,wu tang clan ? Also its cuz the fucking industry these days u will never get these OGs on the radio clowns like u are scared of whats real and true period !!! Whats kind of so called rapper will compare drake to 2pac or b.i.g ? Or dont know any songs lol !! Tell me do u listen to any of the old school rappers or ur just a clown that wants to hear music about bitches, cars and how much money they have :)) ur favorite pop star will never be a rapper or even be mentioned as a MC !! U need lyrics and delivery !!

      2. They don’t have to beat yachty in sales check what they have already done, yachty at the height of his prime not skill wise but popularity wise and he sold 60k first week, Bone thugs got 8 platinum group albums classic songs, classic features. They are 24 years in the game and still able to sell out shows, Do you think yachty will be around in 20 years or 15, 10? 5?

      1. Yea but only for like one beat though U-neeks beats started to sound outdated to me every beat he makes sounds like something
from the Art of war era.

      2. If I’m not mistaken I think they did record a couple song with U-Neek for this project not sure it made the album cut though

    22. This should be good I’m feeling the features glad to see the rest of them Bone boys on their

    23. y’all always love to bring up what your old ass rappers done their whole career, but fail to realize nobody cares about them now, except for stuck in the 90s “real hip hop” heads. fuck outta here. if y’all love them so much, they’d still be going platinum instead of only selling thousands of copies now.

      1. “Yo what the fuck is the deal?/ Here comes a new generation of rap dudes/ With fake attitudes/ That refuse to play by the rules/ Its a shame the way they be dissin’ the game/ They fantasize then go to the studio and tell lies” -Billy Danze, 1996. Apparently still holds weight today.

        1. weak bars. who is billy danze? another old ass irrelevant rapper, therefore those bars are irrelevant. try again, old ass.

          1. You came to troll it aint going to work i bet you dont even know most of the features on New Wavez nice try smart ass ?

      2. Ur so fucking stupid :)) take look back how was the 80s and 90s it was all real wasnt fake like the fake rappers call them self rappers but dont know their history :)) ur favorite rappers will never be legends and be in the rap game for long trust me and ur so stupid to relize music industry is different now days u think that mill of views and selling makes u a great rapper ? Really ur rappers cant even freestyle or write their own lyrics haha go listen dude how the old legends rap, freestyle rap battle !!
Im not even from Usa but i still listen to real Rap u should be ashame of urself

    24. Wish they would have shown the production credits, wondering if Jazza produced that track, he
has produced for them before around Strength and loyalty days they sound really good on his tracks

    25. I’m stoked I haven’t heard any thing from bizzy since Wonderyears now we have New Waves with KB and alot of features this album is going to be sic I just know it look forward to the one with Kaci Brown haven’t heard of her in a while she got some good bangers and the youngsters since back and watch Bone Thugs take Over for the 017’s

    26. By looking at the titles of the songs and the features I’m assuming this will be a smooth sing song type of album which is what I’ve been wanting to hear from Kray

    27. New Waves will be 5x better than that Bone Brothers album, also Krayzie got a album coming out with Young Noble a week before New Waves drop.

    28. For some reason I feel like this is going to be the best Bone thugs album in like 15 years, I didn’t really like CTD I thought the production sounded outdated, just by hearing 2 or 3 snippets of songs of this album and coming home single production seems to be new and fresh!

    29. Good features glad to see the rest of the group on album especially wish he rarely does anything outside of 4-5 man group albums

      1. Were you at BB. This album just enter top 5 on the charts, oh Krayzie also has a solo that crack the top 20

    30. Wanted a new group album with all 5 but I can settle for this especially since its my 2 fav out to the group.

    31. Got feeling this project is gonna be FIRE, B and Krayzie got like 7-8 videos done for this, most excited I have been for a
Bone thugs album since Strength and Loyalty.

    32. I love the other members in BTNH but Kray and B should do a couple more albums together New Waves banging couple of songs should have been a little longer though

    33. Def a different sound from the legends but I can get with it I prefer this type of vibe and music over the
the typical we thugs type stuff this has way more replay value to it then the usual

    34. This is want Krayzie and bizzy need to be doing I love new waves, they finally are starting to use their range and talent
They both should be singing a little more, Bizzy sounds so good on Whatever comes up,

    35. Best Bone related album I have ever heard and yes that includes East 1999, because this is on some music shit, East 1999 was just raw

      1. I always thought Art of war was better than East 1999 Eternal, but I can see what your saying just by first listen I will put it in my
top 3 Bone thugs n harmony projects i gotta listen couple more times my only complaint would be some of the songs should
have had some 3rd verses where the both did some harmony like bizzy did one whatever comes up and Good person but overall I extremely happy with this entire album

    36. Straight Fire from first to last track really laid back and smooth Best work by Bizzy and krayzie since the mid 90’s

    37. Nice!! should have cut wish verse from waves though and let flesh go a little longer thats the best I ever heard Flesh sound on waves and ruthless

    38. So glad you guys are back. As a white girl from a small Ohio town who was only interested in alternative rock music when you all first hit, you really got me to fall in love with rap and respect the art. You are the most paramount and unique rap group of all time. You created an entirely new style of rap, and music in general, that can never be touched. Thank you for being a part of my youth, and now, my adulthood. Love this album, respect your lyrics. Much love and success to you! xo

    39. Krayzie bone has 2 albums in the top 20 on itunes right now hopefully this gets him excited and we get more music from him
New Waves and Eternal legends are very good albums, New Waves may be a classic.

      1. Why??? Cause they not talking about Mo Murda double glockz ouija sh1t????

They in their 40s. You expect them to rap about the same shit as they did in their teens?
        Its called growing up

        1. 100% Agreed this is the most mature album I have ever heard from Bone and to me so far as of now my favorite album musically
I prefer laid back positive vibe vs dark erie thug end of the world stuff. This album is not good it’s great.

    40. they went a different direction with this one and it sounds pretty good my favorite track is waves and good person and if heaven had a cell phone.

    41. I thought the features were going to mess New waves up but actually everybody sounding dope
probably should have left Uncle Murda off change the story and wish off waves overall I give it a 4.5/5 only thing stopping me from giving it a 5 is
some of the songs were very short

    42. Whoever did the majority of production for NEW WAVES should do the production for all Bone albums

    43. No Future features? These old heads not giving the new school props. Future keeps they legacy alive and the ain’t recognizin. Their loss

    44. They got to do more albums together this is some real real fresh amazing dope music, these guys are talented, also
everybody on here did they thing also the features were just right.

    45. As a Bone thugs fan I would always think and hope for years that they would use this kind of range/style on a whole
album instead of just rapping fast on ever song this is the Best Bone thugs n harmony album I have ever heard.
The is really enjoyable positive music, with great production, hooks, and bizzy and krayzie knock it out the park. I know some
people are going to be like how can it be the best when it’s only 2 members, but its the 2 most talented members.

      1. Not really that song is very good beat is sick, but imo I think wish should have been left off and extended flesh or Krayzie verse. I can’t figure out what my fav track is at first it was waves then good person, at the moment its prob whatever comes up I love
the part when Bizzy starts singing. But I also think this album is so good because it’s just Bizzy and Kray, layzie seems to be a little
jealous of this project he hasn’t shown any kind of support at all on any of his social media outlets, too bad but New Waves just enter the top 5 on the charts and Krayzie other album Eternal legend just enter top 20

    46. Didn’t think it was possible for them to bringh it like this, CTD was a huge let down the production sounded extremely outdated
cloudy was a decent song but the video was the worst Bone thugs vid ever, This album is unreal, coming home vid was average, but fantasy and if heaven had a cell phone was really good vids, The producers they work with on New Waves should be the guys
they stick with for every project they do.

      1. It’s new from them I don’t think they are following at all, everybody else is doing trap ship type of beats,
they have grown musically, were they supposed to talk about being thugs again, called the album something with
thugs in the title it’s called NEW Waves for a reason.

    47. Not really a Bone Thugs N Harmony fan but I knew they were going to have something on there to make me damn there
cry change the story was hitting me in the heart pretty hard

    48. Gotta be honest New waves is pretty good from first to last track I’m a old skool btnh fan this is a new direction that I love.

      1. I agree with you Pete I always thought their style at times was too dark and gloomy I feeling this positive uplifting vibe for sure

    49. 13 out of 15 of the songs were lit very rare with rap albums especially with guys from the golden era, Snoop album wasn’t good
only songs I didn’t like was prob cocaine love and bad dream but beside those every song was lit

      1. I give you that no going to argue there I’ll go Bone, Outkast, then WU
moved outkast into 2nd just based of what Big Boi is doing solo wise

    50. This is TERRIBLE! SOUNDS LIKE A KATY PERRY /MAROON 5 ALBUM. I’ve had enough, no longer a bone fan, I’ve been duped too many times!

      1. So you listen to Katy Perry and Maroon 5??? I thought it sounded really good, if one album turn you away from
being a fan you weren’t a real fan in the first place, On top of everything Krayzie Bone dropped 3 albums in 2 weeks, thug brothers
Eternal legend, that sound of those 2 albums should be appreciated by BTNH fans that wanna hear street hardcore stuff, so if you listen to one album out of 3 you were a fraud fan. Krayzie has 2 albums that’s charting eternal legends is at #16 and New Waves is at #4 on itunes, and Physical copies sold Eternal legends is #14 and New Waves is #2 a real Bone Thugs fan would appreciate that also

    51. Its called New Waves for a reason, and it is def something new from Bone…I like the vibe. It is also nice to hear grown men being grown men and not grasping on to their youth when it has passed them by. They been out the hood longer than some fans have been alive, now they just on some “make the music we feel like making” shit and not trying to be super gangstas

    52. wow! “My Way” is FIREEEE!!!

thats some 2017 e.1999 shit right there. Another level.

      just wish it was longer

      1. I love the whole album I wish a couple songs were a little longer too, some 3 verses with them going back in forth or just singing.
But so far this is probably my favorite bone thugs album since TM99

    53. my way is freshy..def hit all the fans with something on this one. I can respect their artistry even if its not all dark chords lol
