The Game is set to release his new album Drillmatic on June 17 and has already proclaimed it’ll be the “best album of 2022” (even better than Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers and Pusha T’s It’s Almost Dry, apparently).
However, not everyone shares The Game’s enthusiasm for his upcoming project. In a since-deleted tweet posted on Monday (May 30), Asian Doll called out the Compton rapper over the title and release date of Drillmatic, which she believes veers suspiciously close to her own forthcoming Let’s Do a Drill LP (also dropping on June 17).
“Not the game dropping on my day & his shit called ‘drillmatic’ & my Shit called ‘LETS DO A DRILL’ [crying face emojis] WTF,” she wrote. The Game has yet to respond.
Despite Asian Doll’s grievance with The Game’s album, she’s come under fire herself over her drill-influenced music. In April, Chicago drill pioneer Katie Got Bandz took issue with the Dallas-bred rapper crowning herself the “Queen of Drill” and unleashed a diss song called “Excuse Me Bitch.”
The fiery track sparked a heated back-and-forth between the two on social media, with both rappers accusing each other of begging for a feature back in the day.

Asian Doll’s drill leanings have even rubbed New Yorkers the wrong way, with a group of residents launching a GoFundMe to help her “find her way out of the Bikini Bottom Bronx Hopping and back to Texas where she came from” earlier this month.
Despite claiming to “not give 1fuck” about such criticism, it appears Asian Doll finally caved and relocated back to her home state this week. “Moved back to Dallas it’s LITTTTTT,” she tweeted on Monday.
The Game, meanwhile, has been ruffling feathers himself in recent weeks with a series of shots aimed at his former Aftermath Entertainment labelmate Eminem.
Following claims that he’s a superior rapper and would emerge victorious in a Verzuz battle, Game continued the Slim Shady slander during an appearance on retired NBA players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson’s All the Smoke podcast last week.
“When have you ever heard Eminem in a club?” he asked. “When have you ever heard it in the locker room? And I’m not taking away from that, I don’t hear Eminem in the streets. I just don’t. It’s not saying he can’t rap. The skillset is there. I’m just the better rapper. I just haven’t been given the light he’s been giving.”
I think it’s more a nod to illmatic/Nas… than her. We just out here. No culture, no god, no history. Like a lost tribe….
