After a long process of baby steps, Ab-Soul’s much-anticipated DWTW album is set to arrive Friday (December 9), the TDE rapper posted on Twitter today (December 5).

Soulo shared the news along with the DWTW cover art and a new track, “Threatening Nature” produced by PakkMusicGroup. The other songs to drop from the project so far are “Huey Knew” and “Braille” with Dreamville’s Bas.

The most recent status of DWTW was that Top Dawg was waiting on Ab-Soul and MixedByAli to finish mastering the project. And now the job is done.

This will be the follow-up to the Carson, California rapper’s These Days…, which dropped in June of 2014.

TDE has been dominating 2016 with four releases so far, Kendrick Lamar’s untitled unmastered., ScHoolboy Q’s Blank Face LP, Isaiah Rashad’s The Sun’s Tirade and Lance Skiiiwalker’s Introverted Intuition.

    1. About time, could’ve gave a better heads up about it though. Should release it later this month not in a few days. We already got j cole on the way need time between releases to soak in these albums.

      1. do you know anything about freemasonry sir? 1. Its takes more than a tatoo to be a free mason. 2. The all seeing eye has been used in religions that pre-date the beginning of freemasonry. Its even referenced in the bible (read the psalms). 3. Just because your a Freemason doesn’t mean you worship the devil. 4. Being a Freemason doesn’t mean you worship the devil. There are christian, catholic and Hindu Freemasons as well. 4. Last but not least….. you truly don’t know shit about Freemasonry. The true secrets of freemasonry have never been revealed even at the 33 degree which is considered the highest level. If you did, you wouldn’t be alive to comment about it on hiphopdx.

        1. high ranking masons tht have been converted by God have spoken out*So therefore sir you do not know what your talking about or any discernment*

    2. Ab Soul is not himself, he looks like hes being possessed and sounds like he is hurt because of the death of alori joi the girl that jumped from a record store building committing suicide. Or maybe it was not suicide. something is not right with ab soul. He got the tree of life tattoo which represents satan. an all seeing eye tatted on his left forearm. Hes stressed thats obvious

      1. She didn’t jump from a building. It was a radio tower. The Tree of Life is from the book of Genisis in the Bible. Please do yourself a favor and stop speaking on things you DO NOT know and/or understand with your warped, uninformed, misguided and flat out ignorant comments.

      2. Tree of life tattoo ain’t nothing, what’s disturbing is a black man in 2016 with a Freemasonry square and compass tattoo with an album named after a quote from a known weirdo (Alister Crowley)

He trying WAAAAY to hard to be different

    3. This lame is on that “Crowley” devil shit and yes Crowley bragged about raping lil boys and drinking they blood to acquire dark “magic” powers, this dude had potential with that “book of soul” song and that’s about it. “These days” album was trash and so will this new devilish bullshit…..this nigga gon be battle rapping soon as his career is over oh yeah wait……it’s over now.

    4. as far as masons go look up “Albert Pike” come back and then try to tell people the masons are good or worth your soul and ass lol, they all worship Lucy knowingly and unknowingly deuces….

        1. Oh I’m sorry I ddnt like what you did.. lol.. I listen to it in its entirety and I ddnt like it.. I’m not saying he’s not lyrically talented or anything I just ddnt like the album.. fucking cry baby ass dudes.. “you don’t like what I did so your a fool” fuck out of here with that.

    5. Very raw and dark. I’m feeling this album. Never doubt the process of Top Dawg Entertainment. They trust the artists ability to create unique shit.

    6. This album took me ages to get into but I like it that much more because of it. 5/5 for sure!

I orginallly gave it 3/5 I wish I never lol
