A$AP Rocky has been known to be one to push the envelope, especially when it comes to art and fashion.
Last week, the Harlem, New York native began posting numerous pics on his Instagram account in succession. Most of the posts were just squares with little more than a simple gray, black or white gradient fill. Those who didn’t understand or just got tired of their feed filling up unfollowed the A$AP Mob rapper. He now has 100,000 less followers on the social media site in the name of art.
The final result of Rocky’s 100 posts is an art collage called “digital installation” and is meant to be viewed on a smartphone. It was a collaboration with Robert Gallardo, a member of the Rocky’s new internal creative team, AWGE. “digital installation” also samples artwork by Daniel Arsham and Tan Camera.
The long form post also provides promotion for A$AP Rocky’s forthcoming sophomore studio album, At.Long.Last.A$AP, which is slated for release on June 2.

lol This is hilarious.
100,000 fewer followers, not 100,000 less followers. Do you get paid to write?
Only one rapper could get away with that and that’s Tech N9ne because he got a sexy bald head.
What a incredibly riveting and awe-inspiring news article. Hiphopdx, you never cease to amaze me with the incredible journalism. I salute you all.
you guys do realize that going from 1.6M to 1.5M doesn’t mean somebody lost 100,000 followers right…coulda lost 1.
On instagram:
1,600,000 = 1.6M
1,599,999 = 1.5M
Subana’wata’allah
So what’s the album going to be like? 2 hip hop joints and the rest crap as usual.
it’s weird!
A.L.L.A is so fucking cohesive
I hate that stupid so called art. It’s nothing more than basic uninspiring shit to look at. Some people will call anything art. Fuck that dull shit
Loool thats what I’m saying.. looking down at my shit in the toilet is more inspiring and artistic than this. They call anything art these days
