50 Cent Rocks New ‘Power’ Single For Massive Florida Super Bowl Party In Florida – COVID Concerns Be Damned

50 Cent is the latest Hip Hop star to find himself in an environment where COVID-19 is as popular as his Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ debut was in 2003.

The mogul was in St. Petersburg, Florida for a giant Super Bowl party on Friday (February 5) where similar to recent parties featuring City Girls in Tallahassee, Trey Songz or even Bow Wow, barely a mask was in sight. According to TMZ, tickets ranged from $85 for general admission to $7,000 for a stage table and even though there was plenty of space for social distancing, everyone wanted to party with 50.

At one point, 50 performed “Part Of The Game” with NLE Choppa from the upcoming Power series Raising Kanan. Although there were no other major celebs on the bill, the DJ kept it 50-centerd throughout the night, playing the theme song from Power and more.

The news even reached the mayor of St. Petersburg who criticized 50 and the organizers of the party. He suggested those who organized the party could face a fine due to a violation of a mask mandate he issued in the city.

“This isn’t how we should be celebrating the Super Bowl,” St. Petersburg mayor Rick Kriseman tweeted Saturday (February 6). “It’s not safe or smart. It’s stupid. We’re going to take a very close look at this, and it may end up costing someone a lot more than 50 cent.”

The party won’t be 50’s first of the weekend. He’s scheduled to perform on Saturday, which coincides with the 18th anniversary of his landmark debut album selling 872,000 copies in its opening week and cementing his status as a Hip Hop power. Super Bowl 55 is taking place in neighboring Tampa on Sunday (February 7) and despite Florida’s steady numbers in regards to COVID-19 cases and deaths, the NFL is allowing a maximum of 22,000 fans inside of Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium including 7,500 essential workers.
