50 Cent ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ Renewed For 3rd Season

50 Cent‘s popular spinoff series Power Book II: Ghost has officially been renewed for a third season. STARZ announced the renewal on Tuesday (December 7) via a flattering statement from its CEO Jeffrey Hirsch.

“The continued success and cultural resonance of the Power universe is unprecedented, and fans are clearly still hungry for more Power Book II: Ghost,” Hirsch said in the statement. “We’re excited for the third season of the star-studded series to get into production early next year just ahead of the debut Power Book IV: Force, the fourth installment in the rapidly expanding franchise.”

50 Cent immediately took to his socials to celebrate the announcement with a tweet that read, “Season 3 on the way, BOOM, GLG, GreenLightGang.”

The show’s executive producer Courtney Kemp will step down as showrunner going into the third season after she signed a deal with Netflix. Brett Mahoney of Empire fame will take over as executive producer and showrunner, with production scheduled to start in early 2022.

The veteran rapper and media mogul has continued to expand the Power universe to impressive lengths. He has already confirmed another spin-off is in the works titled Power Book IV: Force and recorded the spin-off’s theme song. Since the new series will follow Tommy Egan as he leaves New York and heads for Chicago after Ghost’s death, 50 Cent grabbed two of Chicago’s biggest stars to help pen the theme — Lil Durk and Jeremih.

“Ok the FORCE theme song is done,” Fif wrote on Instagram on November 29. “Me @lildurk and @jeremih coming soon! BOOM Chi-Town vibes GreenLightGang @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi.”

    1. He just keeps winning. Ja Rule has gotta be punching the air still about that fact lol. The bankruptcy in 2015 to protect his assets and bounced back hard from that. Irv Gotti and Murder Inc never got the chance cuz the feds raided them due to their close relationship with Supreme.

    2. I think it’s so cruel to put these kinds of shows on TV with black people as thugs and criminals and basically portraying them as good guys and people with regular issues. Behind the scenes at these shows it’s all white all the time. 50 cent himself is a guy who owes his fame to being a small time rapper hustler who was shot several times. Doesn’t sound like any kind of boss to me. Sad to see people fall for this sht. I would say youth but it looks like Power’s main audience is 50 year old burnouts hoping some sunday night fiction will justify the 10 years they spent in prison themselves.

    3. The shows are great. The theme songs are incredible. Raising Canans theme is a hit record. After 50 makes 12 tv shows, he should release it as an album. Itd be even better than get rich or die trying.
