50 Cent has added to the hype for Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz‘s upcoming collaborative album by narrating a trailer for the project.

Tunechi and Tity Boi took to Instagram on Monday (November 13) to share a cinematic promo video for Welcome 2 ColleGrove, which is set to be released on Friday (November 17).

The clip finds 50 Cent in the narrator role, telling a story about Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz’s early days and how they eventually came together as a duo.

“Let me tell you a story about these two guys that eventually became brothers,” he begins.

“You got this kid named Tune, Tunechi, some shit like that. Straight out of 17th of New Orleans. Been rich since he was like 13, 14 years old. He came with his own style, they tried to steal his shit. He ended up putting the whole game on his back, had clientele for years and always had good product.”

He continues: “And then you got Slim from the South Side of Atlanta. Loved playing basketball, he a real mama’s boy. And that’s how he got the name Tity Boi. Slicker than a spill of oil. Soon as he got his hands on his first pack and flipped that, he never looked back.

“And when they met up and devised a plan on how to take over the land, it kind of went like this. Welcome to ColleGrove.”

The trailer also revealed the first four songs on the album’s tracklist: “G6,” “Big Diamonds” featuring 21 Savage, “Presha” and “Long Story Short.” Producers on these tracks include Mannie Fresh, Juicy J, Big K.R.I.T. and Bangladesh.

Fans flocked to the comments section to share their excitement for the album and 50 Cent’s narration.

“This is best promoted album Wayne did in a while,” one fan wrote, while another said: “Narrated by 50 Cent ? Oh SHIT! Im hyped for this.”

Welcome 2 ColleGrove serves as the follow-up to Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz’s first full-length collaboration, 2016’s ColleGrove.

The pair went into detail about how they first met during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, with 2 Chainz revealing he used to be Wayne’s weed guy.

“Uh… Wayne wanted cannabis,” the Atlanta native said, to which Weezy added: “And so every time I would go to Atlanta and I wanted to speak about that one thing [marijuana], I would always call [2 Chainz] to talk about that.”

Things changed around 2007 when 2 Chainz told Lil Wayne that he was “doing the music thing” and played him “Duffle Bag Boy.”

“The moment he said he rapped and the moment I heard it, we got to the studio, and I did this hook for the song ‘Duffle Bag Boy,’ and the rest is history,” Weezy recalled of the Playaz Circle anthem.
