The artwork depicts Weezy’s face with slight elements of Tity Boy, including his beard. Its similar to the cover of ColleGrove, which reversed roles by picturing 2 Chainz adorned with some of Wayne’s face tattoos.

According to a press release, Welcome 2 ColleGrove will be released on November 17 via Def Jam.

In a sample of what fans can expect from the formidable duo, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz also released a hard-hitting new single called “Presha.”

On the Bangladesh-produced record, Tity Boi takes things back to the essence of why people gravitated toward his music with playful bars that are meant to be played in rotation at celebratory events.

“More refills on me, you know we lit, lit/ They gon’ run this back just like a pick-six/ I done fell in love with a thick bitch/ I done fell in love with a rich bitch,” he spits.

Lil Tunechi takes the baton and doesn’t disappoint as he uses his uncanny ability to morph his delivery to the cadence of each record that he appears on.

There have been a slew of updates and teasers regarding Welcome 2 ColleGrove in recent years. During a 2022 appearance on Akademiks’ Off the Record podcast, 2 Chainz said that the album will be completely different from the first.

“We were in the studio together. I think the last time we were in the studio together maybe twice. This time, we’ve been in the studio together multiple times working on this project. Whether going back in after we’ve done something or whatever,” he said.

“I feel super excited about this fucking project because it don’t sound like nothing I’ve ever heard before. And doing something like that with Wayne, it’s welcoming, it’s warming and it’s going to be accepted.”

While further details remain scarce, guest appearances from at least two big names — Usher and Benny The Butcher — have been teased.

In August, Tunechi and Tity Boi were seen shooting what appeared to be a music video with the Confessions crooner, with a clip of their link-up reading: “COLLEGROVE 2.”

Before that, DJ Toomp revealed in an interview that he’d produced a song for the ColleGrove sequel with Benny on it, calling it a “wicked” record.
