There’s a new wrinkle in the antagonistic relationship between 50 Cent and STARZ.
The G-Unit head honcho, who produces Power and portrays one of its main characters, says the premium cable channel blames him for leaking the final three episodes of the hit show’s fourth season.
“STARZ thinks I leaked my own show,” he wrote on Instagram. “anyway if you have on demand catch POWER tonight 12:00AM. If not Sunday 9:00PM it is LOL #50Centralbet.”
50’s claim comes on the heels of him expressing discontent with STARZ over their handling of the TV series. The network refused to give the show two extra episodes for its fourth season, which did not sit well with the veteran MC.
“I woke up feeling a little different about POWER this morning,” he wrote on Instagram in July. “If the biggest show on your net work doesn’t mean anything, what does your network mean STARZ? I’m taking my talents to south beach fuck this.”
While 50 might be frustrated, leaking episodes of his own show would be taking it to a new level. STARZ is still looking for the culprit and plans to take legal action against them.
“The final three episodes of Power’s fourth season were leaked online due to a breach of the press screening room,” a STARZ spokesperson said in a statement issued on August 9. “This seems to be a case of password sharing that resulted in homemade videos of the episodes which were taped off a TV screen and posted online. STARZ has begun forensic investigations and will take legal action against the responsible parties.”

First of all “Power” is not HIS show. He’s tried his best to take credit for that, when everyone who knows better knows its Courtney’s show. I seriously hope she breaks ties with him, because him and his foolishness, AND his mediocre acting on “Power” is not needed.

so much unnecessary hate on 50.. for what I dunno. POWER would be nothing if not for 50 so lets stop pretending he’s not a major player in the series. He may not have created the show, but he took the show to heights unseen. NO ONE was talking about STARZ until 50 started pushing POWER. STARZ is being cheap not adding two extra episodes. But you never know what’s going on with their budget. I doubt 50 would release the episodes of his own show before they were schedule to air, he would be messing his own cash up and we all know 50 is about the bottom line. The problem may boil down to POWER’s increased popularity and STARZ not being able to accommodate. What other show on STARZ is doing 50 numbers? HBO gonna have an open slot after GOT… I’m just sayin….
