Future’s ‘I NEVER LIKED YOU’ Projected For Billboard 200 Chart Supremacy

Future knows how to stay in a pocket and give fans what they want. After remaining relatively quiet in 2021, the FreeBandz leader dropped I NEVER LIKED YOU on Friday (April 29) and much like his previous six albums, it’s set to dominate all other albums.

According to ChartData, the album is projected to arrive at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with an estimated 175,000 to 200,000 total album-equivalent units earned, which would mark the biggest debut for an album in 2022. In total, it would be the biggest first week of Future’s career, topping albums such as 2015’s DS2 as well as the double effort of 2017’s Future and HNDRXX.

The 16-track effort features guest appearances from usual Pluto collaborators such as Drake and Gunna, Kanye West, EST Gee, Tems and Kodak Black.

In the lead-up to I NEVER LIKED YOU, Future executive produced Ye’s Donda 2, where their “Keep It Burnin” collaboration first originated. An official video for the single arrived days before I NEVER LIKED YOU was released with both men embracing their darker sides.

Future Already Prepping 'I NEVER LIKED YOU' Deluxe According To Young Scooter

Even with the album dominating Apple Music charts and social media, Future isn’t slowing down. According to Young Scooter, the album’s deluxe edition will arrive on Monday (May 2), though it’s unclear how many new tracks will appear or guests. Scooter has had plenty of insight in Future’s camp, leading Future to even reveal an album was coming for fans in April.

“I’m putting myself out there,” Future told GQ regarding the album. “Sharing my lifestyle with the world. Sharing my pain with the world. Sharing my ups, sharing my downs with the entire universe. I believe in the energy of the universe and manifestation. That’s why I’m giving myself, because I’m willing to correct myself. I don’t want to just…be wrong. I’m willing to give you all of me, so you can tell me how to build on me, and make me a better me.”

    1. Now that’s what I call a success. Future may not have singles that chart as high as drake’s but his album sales are still very good. Weeknd is supposed to be this megastar yet loses to fucking Gunna when his album didn’t sell as well as gunna’s.

      1. It’s cuz the industry loves gays and wack rappers that’s why The Weeknd got outsold by Gonna because he checks both those blocks effortlessly.

      2. That is the weeknd’s lowest charting cd. His music may not be everyone’s cup of tea but he clearly can out sell gunna. His other album sales blow gunna’s shit out of the water and to date gunna’s best album is the joint one he did with lil baby and that was the best music he ever put out was all on that one album with lil baby. I don’t think he has had a song come close to the numbers drip to hard did and that is featured with lil baby. The weeknd has had way biggest selling and charting songs on his own, let alone a song with another artist featured on it to do big numbers.

    2. Cuz today’s generation like dumbed down music from dumbed down artists. Lord help them if they have to actually think for themselves or listen to someone actually talk about some real shit or be lyrical and they have to use their brains for once. Oh No, that’ll send their minds into overload. This is the reason why the wack and the gay seem to be winning today because this and the fact that the corporations that are backing them pretty much want this to ensure negative stereotypical social ignorance and homosexual continues to get spread throughout the communities.

    3. I am a hiphop head for sure and I don’t really listen to Future’s music. Nothing wrong with dude, it’s just not my style. That being said, come here Pusha T and hold this “L”. Talking about the classic album you going to drop. I haven’t bumped it since the day it came out. No repeat value whatsoever. You might want to stop talking about drug dealing and bring more substance to your music.

      1. No, you’re not a hip hop head. As a hip hop head, you have to like Pusha T’s album and hate Drake at all times. You must like those auto tuned mumble rappers that wear skinny jeans because you can’t understand lyrics.
