Kanye West Will Reportedly Drop 1st Single From Next Album ‘God’s Country’ Soon

It looks like another Kanye West album is on the way.

In an Instagram Live on Thursday (May 22), famed cinematographer Arthur Jafa revealed he’s been working on a new music video for the rapper that will drop next week. When asked by French fashion icon Michèle Lamy to elaborate, Jafa said the song is for Ye’s next album and even dropped the project’s title.

“It’s from his new record,” Jafa told Lamy. “It’s called God’s Country and this will be like the first single I guess off of it. I don’t know if I’m supposed to not be announcing it or whatever. I may just be spilling the beans.”

He added he has no information about the full album’s release.

“It’s from a new record that’s forthcoming,” he said. “I don’t know when the album is coming out but the single – I think maybe sometime next week. Maybe. It’s not sure. It’s not definite.”

Previously, the pair worked together in 2016 when Jafa used “Ultralight Beam” to accentuate his short film about the black experience, Love is the Message, the Message is Death. The film entered the Smithsonian in 2018.

Kanye West Buys His Chicago Childhood Home

God’s Country will follow Kanye’s Sunday Service choir album Jesus Is Born that dropped on Christmas Day, as well as his October release of Jesus Is King. While the title suggests it, it’s unclear whether the new project will be heavily focused on Christianity and gospel like its two predecessors.

    1. Imagine Kanye never doing a song that’s not religious from now on. What a sad future. It is what it is.

      1. Eh, I think the “fucking bitches” kinda stuff was getting annoying myself. God based songs can still sound great too. Like Follow God. That is a fun song to play for sure! I really like “Use This Gospel” too. Making cleaner rap doesn’t mean it always has to center around Jesus either. He can make uplifting songs like Tupac did years before death row, and just keep the cursing to a minimum.

        1. Yes, Follow God is a great song, same as On God. These are my favourites from Jesus is King. Use this Gospel I hate just because I know that song back when it was called Chakras with the GTA lines we in the game, I loved it. I also could care less about retarted songs about fucking bitches but you know, I want that Alien type of music… that cocky Diamonds remix or Crazy in Love remix Kanye, that funny White Dress Kanye, Deuces remix Kanye. Ye was one of the few who was making even thug songs nice, eg Don’t Like remix. You know what I mean. I don’t think we getting these kind of verses any time soon and it’s a shame, we all know if he into something it’s 101%, but Kanye, please

    2. We need more Ye, these SJW minded ppl in 2020 just love tearing everything down. “Make you feel alone in the dark and you’ll never see the light… I can feel it when I write, point of living in the right, when they only hear the wrongs, never listen to the songs, just to listen is a fight”.. fuck the clowns who are sure to come hating in the comments.

    3. kanye said God showed up and showed out when he ( kanye) receved a large tax refund from the irs…………I am just asking (kanye) would it not be better if the showing up and out concerned covid19

      1. Kanye isn’t really that crazy, he just comes off as crazy. Watch his full interviews. He’s actually a very down to earth guy, with an inflated ego. But he isn’t insane by any means.

        1. the man said the highest power showed up specifically on his ( kanye) behalf………. all i am saying is would it not be more appropriate for the higest power to show up and out vs covid 19

    4. Anyone hear the leak from Jesus Is King 2? “Up From The Ashes”, Google it. Supposedly produced by Dr Dre… Beats sounds amazing! Best sounding Dre beat in ages honestly.

    5. Whether we like it or not, Kanye West has figured out the formula.
