Kanye West’s “Ye” Wyoming Listening Party Has Twitter Poppin’

Kanye West finally unleashed his follow-up to 2016’s The Life of Pablo —  Ye — during an exclusive listening party held in Jackson Hole, Wyoming on Thursday (May 31) via the WAV app.

Nas, Chris Rock, A Tribe Called Quest’s Consequence, Kid Cudi, Big Sean, actor Jonah Hill, Lil Yachty, 2 Chainz, Ty Dolla $ign, Teyana Taylor and (not surprisingly) conservative commentator Candace Owens were among the many on deck to hear the album.

Over the past several months, artists like Drake, Travis Scott and Pusha T have been flying in and out of the mountainous Wyoming ski resort town where ‘Ye had been working on the project. Very little details were known about what the album would actually sound like prior to the Wyoming listening party.

Now that the seven-track album is out of the bag, Twitter exploded with reactions.

    1. The album is amazing. Sometimes having huge expectations will lead to not really liking an album the first time you hear it, that may have been the case for me on my first listen, but the second time (the livestream had them play the whole album twice then it cut off) I was sold.

      1. Did you not hear Tribe’s last album? Consequence & Busta are basically members of the group now.

        1. Consequence was also on about half of Beats Rhymes + Life. Still doesnt make him a full-on member.

    2. The same shit happened when life of Pablo came out and 2 years later it’s not as hot as people said it was….I get it Kanye flew yall out so you wanna lick his nuts but please sit with the music n stop overhyping everything

    3. 7-track album??? That’s not an album that’s an EP
10 track minimal for an album. This is just overhyped music, just like Pusha T’s Daytona.

      1. I suggest looking up all the criteria’s for an album before lacing a subjective opinion as fact.

      2. I AGREE, HOWEVER…EP’S ARE ALBUMS UNDER 29 MINUTES. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH TRACK-COUNT.
