Jon Connor “Can See The Finish Line” For Debut Album

    Jon Connor “can see the finish line” for his debut album on Aftermath Entertainment. The Flint, Michigan rapper shares the news on Instagram in a post he made yesterday (March 12).

    “Ayyee Guess who came thru…” Connor writes for the caption of a photo with Dr. Dre. “Was dope vibe’n to the project with my big brother @drdre we can see the finish line!!#Aftermath #VehicleCity.”

    Connor has posted pictures with Dem Jointz, E-40 and singer Shanica Knowles, who is Beyonce’s cousin.

    Justus also posted a photo yesterday that said Connor’s album is almost finished.

    “3.11.16: At paramount w/ @therealphd and @drdre wrapping up@jonconnormusic ‘s debut album!” the Dallas rapper writes for the caption of a photo of himself with Connor, Dr. Dre and Aftermath A&R Ty Cannon.

    Connor signed to Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment in 2013. He appeared on Compton: A Soundtrack by Dr. Dre with Justus, King Mez and Aftermath’s newest signee, Anderson .Paak. After the project’s release, Connor confirmed that his own album was in the works.

    2. This is welcome news for the rap game .Connor been nice for too long without a proper debut lp .Too bad Dre is notorious for having no/long wait times for his artists releases. Hopefully this is actually coming out this year.

    3. OK, Drake’s got 5 no.1 albums, rick ross has 5 no.1 albums, meek mill got 1, wale got 2, and dre STILL doesn’t have a no.1 album yet? LOL.

    4. I hope this has not been shelved!!!! If it has I will lose all respect for Dre… Paak is good.. but we need Jon Connor.. Dre’s shelves everything that we want in hip hop… I love his work but he keeps disappointing us…
