“Dope” Returns To Theaters

Puff Daddy and Pharrell have announced that Dope will return to theaters Friday (September 4).

The executive producers of the movie took to Instagram to share the news for Labor Day weekend.

“BREAKING NEWS! @DopeTheMovie will be back in theaters THIS FRIDAY!#DopeMovie #LaborDayWeekend,” Diddy writes.

“@dopethemovie is back!” Pharrell says. “#DopeMovie is in theaters this Friday.”

Dope depicts a high school student and his friends who accidentally take a drug dealer’s product.

I think it was a good movie, it was a cool movie,” A$AP Rocky, who plays the drug dealer, said during an exclusive interview with HipHopDX last month.

Vince Staples, Casey Veggies and Cap G also appear in the film, which was released in June. Dope made $6.1 million its opening weekend.
