Wiz Khalifa proposed to his main squeeze Amber Rose, while Bizarre revealed that he's left D12. Too Short touched on the conspiracies to dead socially conscious rap in the early '90s.

This week, Wiz Khalifa proposed to his girlfriend Amber Rose, who gave the affirmative to the weed-friendly rapper. Bizarre spoke exclusively with HipHopDX about his split from D12, explaining that he was moving in a creatively different direction from the group. He also touched on his affinity for Nicki Minaj, and how she’s starting to take the bait. Finally, Too Short also spoke with HipHopDX about his early days at Jive Records and how there was an industry-wide conspiracy to prevent him and other artists from talking about socially conscious topics.

Wiz Khalifa Proposes To Amber Rose, Estimates $100 Million Income In 2012

Wiz Khalifa had a big week. After dating his main squeeze Amber Rose for more than a year, the Taylor Gang leader proposed to the bald-headed model, tweeting a picture of the rock he put on her hand. Additionally, Wiz gave a generous estimate that he would top his $11 million accrued in 2011 with a whopping $100 million in income this year, which he believes will come from touring and merchandising. Wiz, whose new mixtape Taylor Allderdice is releasing soon, said, “Oh yeah, man, I’m going to make $100 million this year. No doubt, $100 million. The new mixtape [will] get everybody ready and get their wallets open.”

Bizarre Announces Departure From D12

After performing with D12 for more than 15 years, Bizarre spoke exclusively to HipHopDX and revealed that he is leaving the group. During our conversation with the outspoken emcee, he said that the band had “creative differences and decided to go our separate ways - well I decided to go my separate way.” He also gushed over his love for Nicki Minaj, explaining that he won’t stop stalking her on Twitter until she decides she’s creeped out. In the meantime, Bizarre is set to release his free album This Guy’s a Weirdo on March 30th.

Too Short Releases No Trespassing, Says There Was An Industry-Wide Plot To Shut Down Conscious Hip Hop

With his latest album No Trespassing arriving in stores this week, Too Short spoke with HipHopDX about his early days in dealing with Jive Records. During our conversation, the West Coast veteran revealed that the label encouraged him to ditch rapping about conscious topics like crack cocaine and poverty, and that the imprint wouldn’t allow him to record albums with artists like E-40 on account of the socially-minded topics he wanted to tackle. Additionally, Too Short discussed recording with Dr. Dre for the first time as well as broke down the first seven tracks from his latest LP.

D12 need to have an album without Eminem. I know its sounds fucked up but its the only way they can proved themselves instead of eminem steering them all the time.but now without proof it's worst. They might never make it without Em.

I agree and I think the oughta distance themselves from Eminem entirely. Even with Em on a new album I'm not sure they'd go platinum in today's scene. But they could definitely have solid, loyal underground following. Kuniva, Swifty, Denaun & Fuzz Scoota could make a sick album if they utilize some of the crazy talent Detroit has to offer. Get away from Eminem's corny ass and drop something with substance. No more of his wack production and jokey joke bullshit "My Band' garbage. Get dark, hardcore and at times contemplative.

Wiz is a damn fool! I hope the bitch robs his dumb ass when its all done! D-12 died when Proof died. Hes the only one in the group, excluding Eminem, that will have a chance to get any kind of recognition if any at all.

That's a great picture of Wiz. Shows him in all his suckerdom. He looks like a dude someone from the block would bring to the hood after school. Then when your boys meet him someone sucker punches the shit out of him. Then tells the friend that brought him. If you bring any more nut ass dudes around you will be next.

It's kinda funny that everyone seems to dislike Drake, a lot, and he just tries to laugh it off like it's nothing. As if Ludacris really needs to use Drake for marketability. Luda might not be as huge as he was, but he still moves units and has yet to put out an album that has not gone platinum. Either Drake is just playing cool so he doesn't end up in a war with half the industry, or he is just really unaware of his current surroundings. Stunt Man.

LOL @ Bizarre, he might as well go ask ICP for a record deal tho, he'd fit in well over there D12 as a group will be better off and so will he, D12 dudes could actually rap a lil, Biz presence brought there respect level all the way down, and now that he's on his own, biz can seek out a career in the horrorcore scene Everybody wins

    • Fish

Co-sign. When Proof got shot, D12 lost its best member (outside the white phenom of course), but the rest of the guys left still have immense talent and can still release something good. Bizarre was just bringing them down.

Lol....Nah but seriously Iam surprised the dude was in D12 for so dam long. And I See what you mean about his lyrical ability, I was watching this d12 rap city freestyle and the dude kept clowning around and giving shit couplet raps.
