Hi-Tone’s struggle to overcome depression and drug abuse is the focus of his new album No Xanax Needed. One of the album highlights, “Selfish,” is an admission of his own vanity and neglect of his family and friends, and his attempt to come to terms with his regrettable actions. “You can’t use your bank account when you take your last breath, so enjoy all them small things and things we forget,” he raps.

The California rapper has shared the new visuals to complement the song, shedding light on the powers addiction can have over a person. At the end, he seemingly overdoses and the words, “To be continued,” quickly flash across the screen, alluding to another chapter.
