As one of the newest additions to the Rhymesayers Entertainment roster, deM atlaS has been privy to all that the Rhymesayers empire has to offer — sold-out shows with Atmosphere, impeccable marketing, and apparently high-quality videos. His latest visual comes in the form of “Perfect Day,” one of the most infectious tracks from his recent album, mF deM.
Directed by Samiera Abou-Nasr, the video follows an optimistic deM atlaS as he pursues the ultimate inner peace on a beautifully sunny day. “If I die today/it’s going to be the best day I’ve ever had,” he asserts. A cameo from Atmosphere’s Sean “Slug” Daley (and co-founder of the Minneapolis label) is an unexpected surprise at the end and works as the exclamation point to another solid Rhymesayers project.
