Chris Crack is considered one of the Chicago area’s hardest working artists, and his 2016 campaign continues to prove that to remain true. Chris started the year off receiving critical acclaim, earned for his part as ½ of the dynamic Hip Hop duo Chris $pencer (Chris Crack & Vic $pencer), from their highly touted and aptly titled album Who TF Is Chris $pencer. Within a few short weeks following the Chris $pencer project, he released the 1-track, EP project titled Titty Milk & Cookies.

The New Deal Crew frontman rounded the spring and summer behind two solo, full-length mixtape efforts, “Last of the Lean…” and “Troll Til They Fold.” The latter project is where you’d stumble across the tranquil yet aggressive, Tye Hill produced “Pine Cones.” On the first visual from the “Troll Til They Fold” project, Chris teams up with frequent collaborators Born Ready Films. Shot while on a recent trip to NYC, Pine Cones takes viewers up the tree lined streets of Queens, NY, while Chris delivers his fiery lyrics over the melodic track.
