Ash Riser returns with the official music video for his track “Sleep,” revisiting his Home EP released in January. Ash describes the project as “definitely more of a soul searching EP- less political, more about the aftermath of falling out of love and where to go from there.”
This record took place during a time when Ash was working on his craft nights on end, in the studio away from the girl he loved and was with for eight years, trying to make his career happen to support them both. The video then transitions to another record titled “Lost.” The video as a whole combines the two to complete Ash’s story.

Ash states, “In the video, I tried to portray that as much as possible, being alone with my logo and the OGG logo behind me showing the fruits of my labor and hard work paying off, still seeming despondent, smoking cigarettes, drinking whiskey from the bottle almost like Charles Bukowski underneath a painting of Mia Wallace overdosing, thinking of ‘her’ because she couldn’t stick with me at my worst when I was going to give her the world at my best. Side note: Notice the actress is wearing a white button up and her hair is similar to Uma Thurman’s in pulp fiction… but shhh… that’s just my weird obsession for that movie. When the struggle of being a broke and starving artist was hitting me like I never knew anything could. The flashbacks that haunt me in my dreams, keeping me from sleeping and focused on my work making me a delirious mess. Drinking way too much, being completely unhealthy and getting lost in the sauce trying to self medicate and drown my thoughts in sailor jerry, I realize moving on is the only way to grow and I finally pass out.

As for the second half where ‘Lost’ comes in, I’ve finally fallen asleep waking up in a dream where everything seems like a16 bit video game, The ‘love of my life’ still haunting the thoughts in my sleep, and me letting go or giving up, however you want to look at it… either way it’s game over.”
