HipHopDX Premiere: Los Angeles-based artist Sliim Bambino is making his Tommy Boy Records debut with “Wilcox”

Produced by Koopa Jacobs, the song dives into the mind of Bambino, or Bambi as he calls himself. Throughout the nearly three-minute track, he tackles some of the hardships he’s had along the way.

“Wilcox is a glance into my life in my first year of living in L.A. and a reflection of my past and current mindset,” Bambi tells HipHopDX. “When my close friend Koopa Jacobs first played this beat for me, I felt uncomfortable but immediately entranced. Wilcox was the street I lived on and it will always have a certain significance in my life.”

Originally from the Bay Area, the reclusive artist plans on delivering more music in the near future.
