HipHopDX Premiere: Flex Mathews is D.C. legend to some, but brand new to many others. From collaborations with Damu the Fudgemunk to rocking shows with Oddisee and members of Thievery Corporation, the “MC’s MC” has created a 16-track feel good album, the aptly titled Hi, I’m Flex Mathews LP via Kosha Dillz’s new imprint, Rapperfriends.

In addition to the new album, he’s also dropped a video for one of the project’s tracks, “Never Change,” which shows how he’s been the same person since day one.

“Im a true school delegate,” Mathews tells HipHopDX. “I got schooled hella quick and found out my style was premature, so I developed it, let it rip. Every single cypher I hit and heard cats was rhyming worldwide, I wanted to dip.”

While Mathews sets his sights on world domination, check out the video and album above.
