M-Dot’s latest single, “Chrissy,” follows a troubled young girl as she finds herself disenchanted and inevitably trapped in a bleak world eclipsed by her inescapable misery. The EMS frontman narrates her ominous downfall while elaborately depicting all the serpents that feed off of her along the way. Seeped in fiction, the Buckwild-produced track evokes reality yet balances a dreary illusion-state throughout. “Chrissy” comes from M-Dot’s upcoming album, Ego and the Enemy, which is scheduled to arrive on January 27.
