In an interview for WNYC’s Here’s The Thing with Alec Baldwin, Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson gets up close and personal with the actor to discuss childhood memories involving cooking, Soul Train and looking for old “ghosts” from his past.
During the nearly hour-long interview, he also touches on his three year exile in London and how meditation saved his life. In addition to his role with Grammy Award-winning group The Roots, the 45-year-old drummer was a former teacher of music history at NYU and is part of the house band for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
