For the last few years, Wax Wonder has been making a name for himself in the underground Hip Hop scene. He has gained the attention of some very heavy hitters in the industry, including artists like Denaun Porter, Horseshoe Gang, and of course KXNG Crooked of Slaughterhouse, who he had featured on one his biggest singles of last year, “Mind Your Own,” produced by Havoc of Mobb Deep.
Since the release of the track, Wax has been dedicated to working on his debut album, which will be set to come out in the winter. This time around, Wax teams up with Grammy-nominated multi-platinum music producer !llmind, on a track that speaks volumes of his character and who he really is, during a time when doing so is not considered “the norm.” He touches on a lot of subjects which might come off as negative or pessimistic, even throwing some shots in the mix, but it is a side of Hip Hop that has been missing for a very long time. With lines like… “Speak a little bit of truth, they label it as hate,” it’s hard to ignore what he has to say, not only about where Hip Hop stands currently, but where the world stands consciously.
