Tired of today’s Hip Hop? Vonny Del Fresco and a litany of other Milwaukee, Wisconsin Hip Hop artists have been absolutely killing it over the last few years. The Cheeseheads are surrounded by three Midwest states that have consistently been recognized on a national level—Minnesota, Illinois and Michigan—yet one would be hard pressed to find Vonny or anyone else from Wisconsin reach household-name status. It’s an interesting phenomenon.
Milwaukee alone claims Vonny Del Fresco, Klassik, Bliss & Alex, WebsterX, Ishdarr, Yo Dot and Pizzle—just to name a few. The story, flow and overall sound is completely new to mainline Hip Hop.
