It may not be as technically venerable as a cut off Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… but it’s nice to see Corey Woods still doing his thing, especially with another album supposedly on the way this year. The Wu-Tang Clan veteran decided to bless London deejay and record producer Redlight with some bars and a somewhat throbbing hook for this song off of the turntablist’s upcoming 4-track EP 36. Redlight’s 2013 included a performance at Jay-Z’s Made in America festival, and the year before that saw two of his singles hit the top-5 on the UK dance charts. Needless to say, his production style is different than what we may be used to hearing Raekwon spit over, but what would rap be without experimentation? Raekwon’s upcoming album Fly International Luxurious Art is slated for a May 2014 release, although the title was unveiled over a year ago and the rapper has stayed relatively quiet about what’s really to come. Hopefully he doesn’t keep us in the dark for too long, but until then there’s this.
