Rascalz’ third studio album, “Reloaded” is a collection of 18 heavily influenced Dancehall tracks and beats. The Vancouver, BC based Hip Hop group comprised of MCs Red1, Fit and DJ Kemo, has been recognized by critics and audiences alike in the form of awards and sales, for almost a decade.
The release of “Reloaded” is sure to satisfy hungry Rascalz fans. The album’s first single “Crazy World” featuring Notch of Born Jamericans is currently heating up the air-waves on television and radio. Other relative standouts: “Warrior”, “Movie Star”, “Filthy”, “Dun Did It”, and the club hopping “Reckless”.
Overall, the production on the album is tight, and guest appearances are limited [depending on how your looking at it] to Canadian MC’s. The likes of Socrates, members of The Circle [of Toronto Fame], as well as Solitaire, all lend their stylistic wordplay to the mix. The most noticeable issue the album has [dependent on your personal opinion] is that Misfit or Fit as he is now called, gets a modicum of mic time. If you’re a fan, well, you’ll be disappointed. The album may as well have been called “Reloaded: Red1”, as it appears that he is the only talent of this duo when listening to the album in its entirety.
