Young Thug Will 'Be Home Before Summer,' Says Young Scooter

Young Thug, who is currently behind bars as part of the sprawling YSL RICO Case, could be “home before summer,” according to Young Scooter.

Scooter made the claim after pulling up to an Atlanta courthouse alongside Trae Tha Truth to show support for the YSL leader.

“JUST LEFT COURT WIT [snake emoji] HE GONE BE HOME BEFORE SUMMER,” Scooter wrote before tagging Trae Tha Truth, who added in his own post: “Me & @youngscooter Pulled Up To Court To Support @thuggerthugger1 … Real Ones Need To Stand By Him… He Need Real Luv… Salute!!”

Scooter also posted about Thug on his IG Stories saying: “Been at every court date wit u know Im always wit u bra even when u think the world against u.”

The show of support from Trae and Scooter comes shortly after a seventh YSL affiliate reached a plea deal to secure his release from jail.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Antonio Sledge was granted 15 years probation this week after pleading guilty to conspiracy to violate the RICO Act and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Sledge, who goes by Mounk Tounk, agreed to testify at next month’s trial if asked to do so, but was given the option to invoke his Fifth Amendment rights if he wished.

Sledge likely hurt Young Thug’s chances at freedom, as he admitted YSL associates murdered Donovan Thomas Jr. in 2015 on behalf of the collective and said he and others went to Thugga’s residence shortly after the murder.

Sledge alleged that Thug gave them all cash to “lay low” following Thomas Jr.’s killing. Sledge also named the location of a pair of gas stations that were allegedly used as a location by YSL associates to sell drugs.

It’s unlikely that Thug will be offered a plea deal despite numerous affiliates being given one. Per Atlanta-based reporter George Chidi, prosecutors view Thug as “the target of this case” and are seeking a conviction that will keep him behind bars.

Previous YSL associates to take plea deals include Gunna, Young Thug’s brother Unfoonk, Slimelife Shawty (Winnie Lee)Lil Duke (Martinez Arnold).YSL co-founder Walter Murphy and Antonio “Obama” Sumlin have also pleaded out, bringing the number of defendants down to 21 ahead of the January 9 trial.

In more positive news for Young Thug, the Punk rapper scored an early legal victory in December when a judge ruled materials seized during a 2015 home raid cannot be used against him at trial.
