More recently, Westside Gunn joined Conway The Machine to assist on his double-single “Quarters/Brucifix.” Earlier this month, the pair of Griselda rhymers turned opulent scenes from a recent trip to Paris into the footage used for the track’s luxe music video.

    1. Don’t know how people can sit and listen to a Westside Gunn album in full. I can’t even get through the first song without his nails-on-chalkboard voice assaulting my eardrums. People say he picks great beats but voice also matters. He’s the modern day Master P if anything.

      1. I agree listening to a whole WSG album isn’t an easy thing to do. In the beginning I couldn’t stand his voice but it grew on me after a while. However, his corny gun adlibs are unbearable and cringy as hell. I’ve listened to basically his whole solo catalog and for the most part the beats are split like 60 percent dope and 40 percent not so dope. He’s definitely an acquired taste and not for everyone and this is coming from someone who used to not feel him at all until I listened to his whole catalog and changed my opinion of him a bit.

    2. Pray for Paris was an outstanding album. I understand all the criticisms this guy gets for his adlibs etc., but at the end of the day, can you rap? Is the beat dope? Is the track still playable years later? That album had FIRE production. Preem, Alchemist, it’s actually slept on IMO.
