Conway The Machine has dropped off a visual for his new double single “Quarters/Brucifix” featuring Westside Gunn — check out the clip below.
Released on Friday (April 7), the video sees the two New York MCs spitting against various luxury backgrounds in Paris. This video begins with Conway performing solo the first part of the track “Quarters,” which features production by Khrysis.
“The dope I ordered come over border, I’m the G.O.A.T. recorder/Word to cash, my soul on frozen water, flow and slaughter/Clip in the pole, tall as your oldest daughter,” he raps.
Then, in “Brucifix,” Conway enlists super-producer Daringer to handle production, and later in the video, he links up with Westside Gunn to exchange crisp bars and vibrant visuals.
“Cocaine caviar, in group with fishes (Sniff)/You see a bunch of rappers, I see a group of bitches (Haha)/No broke n-ggas around me/That shit might rub off, I’m superstitious (Get out of here),” Conway raps.
Westside Gunn comes in with an equally hard verse dripping with confidence: “I don’t trust no-fuckin’-body but this heckler (Boom, boom, boom)/Just spent thirty-thousand in the Webster (Ah)/You know the God, nothin’ more, nothin’ lesser (Uh-uh),” he raps.
As for other Conway The Machine news, the Buffalo native has plans to join forces with 38 Spesh for a collaborative album titled Special Machinery that’s slated to arrive later this year.
38 Spesh revealed the news during his appearance on The Bootleg Kev Podcast last month, explaining he and Conway will link up for their first joint album. The project is already complete and, according to the Rochester, NY native, it will be something special.
“Me and Conway got an album,” he told Bootleg Kev. “The people gotta get ready for that. It’s done, I’m gonna follow up after Gunsmoke with that. The name of that album is called Special Machinery. Something serious, Special Machinery, we on there getting busy and shit, you know what I’m saying. I produced the whole joint, me and my guy Jimmy Dukes. He’s a producer from out of Buffalo, we produced the whole joint.”
Spesh added that the joint album with Conway contains 10 songs and will arrive either in July or August. He also revealed he’d drop a solo album giving fans three different releases this year.
