Westside Gunn Drops ‘Pray For Paris’ Album

Westside Gunn has released Pray For Paris, a star-studded album featuring production by DJ Premier, Alchemist, Tyler, The Creator, DJ Muggs, Daringer and Camoflauge Monk, among others.

Pray For Paris is a modern-day Cavaraggio,” WSG tells HipHopDX. “The whole album from top to bottom is of the illest paintings ever created.”

The Roc Nation-managed MC’s new LP includes collaborations with Conway The Machine, Benny The Butcher, Freddie Gibbs, Roc Marciano, Joey Bada$$ and more. The project is his first solo effort since 2019’s Hitler Wears Hermes 7 mixtape.

    1. By far his worst project. Dude is Hollywood now. From here on out he’s a caricature. Not hating either fan girls.

    2. If he wasn’t a part of Griselda, dudes would say he’s terrible. Conway and Benny are beasts, Westside is trash. He is the Silkk the Shocker of Griselda.

      1. He is Griselda you freaking imbecile hahahahaha ha damn so much ignorance on here and no one comments on all the wack ish that infected all of hip hop u don’t have to like it but don’t say this ignorant statement please my man hahaha

        1. I know he’s Griselda, dummy. I’m saying if he wasn’t, then you’d be admitting he’s trash. I guess you also like Tony Yayo and Cappadonna as well? Lol.

          1. I’m the dummy haha u didn’t even understand the simple statement “ that he is Griselda “ he made it up from nothing he’s the driving force of it from the jump he’s the mastermind u dumb bitch, he’s The Godfather he’s not even just a real rapper He’s the inventor of Griselda. He’s literally an artist that also raps fam. Cmon it’s simple to understand. Keep hating just remember to praise both

        1. You did not just type that with a straight face. Really, best in the group? Over Conway and Benny? LMAO. I can’t take you stans serious.

      1. Ur head should be the one that’s being held on the cover bro seriously the only issue is that ur probably butt ugly like your momma

    3. this bitch ass canadian needs to return to canada and hang out with justin bieber.

how many black people here know who Cavaraggio is??! NOBODY. AYO. AYO. AYO. BOOBOOBOO. BRRRRR DOOT DOOT.

    4. Great production, and the guest features are brilliant (look for BENNY on George Bondo) and actually thought WSG’s verses were not awful…..BUT FUCKING HELL STOP THE GUN ADLIBS! Single handily ruins a lot of his music for me. Aside from that, good album

    5. This is beautiful grimeyness… This niggas ear for beats is stellar.. The samples are cinematic, gorgeous and haunting.. I could hear some of these tracks playing in a movie..George bando, Versace, 500 ounces, 327,Claiborne kicks, Allah sent me are all crazy… Say what u will about Westside Gunns lyrics but his skills for putting together dope projects is unmatched

    6. Kanye ruined rap music and Sean P aint around no more to save it. Shit is wack as fuck, half of those tracks is some pussy ass drumless shit and he still manage to be off beat when there aint even no beat FFS. Why the fuck does even supposedly grimey rap sound like easy listening elevator shit nowadays bruh. Fuck outta here.

    7. The problem is the non drum tracks, they sound like unfinished beats, I hate that trend and I can;t rock to those.

    8. I fuck with the Benny and Conway joints. Besides that I’ll have to agree with a lot of the criticism in the comments. Beats without beats is cool, but only till a certain extent and not when it makes up 80% of the album. Boldy and ALC joint was the perfect blend. And there is some truth to y’all saying if WSG wasn’t a part of Griselda he would be considered wack. What is an undeniable fucking fact tho is that this bitch Armani that he signed is straight up terrible, on god! Oh well, WSG said he done with rapping by the end of 2020 so hang in there. And we still got Benny and Conway who are both on some next level shit both lyrically and with the beats. PLUGS and LULU ???

    9. This album is great …I swear a bunch of sissies comment on music. They the only label pumping out beautiful music and all you chumps do is criticize. Thank God for Griselda

    10. This shit is repetitive and boring. Also, nice way to waste a premier beat. Burgers on Wednesday and chicken on Thursday is a hook now? LOL. I officially give up on all of Griselda. I knew they were going to play themselves out. Too much content, not enough quality. Bullet sounds, cara screeching. Shit is just dumb. Plus dude looks like an 8 year old in every picture.

    11. “you hang with a rat you a rat too”… DAMN THATS IRONIC CONSIDERING THE CEO OF ROCNATION.GOV WAS A DEA INFORMANT!

    12. A muthafuckin masterpiece all way from buffalo to st.louis niggas need to know gxfr got it lock so stop the hatin some of the best hiphop to date even the pop tart artists will give this props Gxfr fan for sure i had to buy it witout listening to it first and wasn’t disappointed at all even tho the wale verse was kinda wack besides that it was a great album im glad em let these cats be them and not waterin them down 1 more for hiphop

    13. I think folks just LIKE this guy, seems like a lazy album smooth beats but subject wise nothing and man he takes bars off solid 5.5 out of 10

    14. Just to let you know, it’s Caravaggio, not Cavaraggio, sick painter by the way, you should check him out!
