Wale Announces “Shine” Album At Pre-Show For President Obama’s Sate Of The Union Address

    Wale announced yesterday (January 12) that his forthcoming album will be titled Shine and that it will be released this year, according to a video posted on The White House’s YouTube page.

    The MMG rapper made the proclamation while performing at the Pre-Show for President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address.

    “Performed at the “State of the Union” .. #SOTU..  #shine on the universe . HipHop is limitless . Thank You @WhiteHouse @BarackObama,” Wale wrote on Twitter yesterday.

    The Washington, D.C. rapper performed “Chillin,” “LoveHate Thing” and “White Shoes” at the event.

    Wale, who also posted a video of himself shaking hands with Vice President Joe Biden, is the first rapper to open a State Of The Union address.

    1. why does Wale get so much hate….this mans been rapping since 09’…has about 6 albums (selfmade included) a bunch of hit records and is obviously big enough to not only be invited to the white house but rap there as well ….i dont think Wale is better than K.dot, J cole or Drizzy but its good to see OTHER talented artist to get recognition u kno…
