Tyga’s Proud Of Explicit Cover Art Amid Criticism

Tyga defended his Kyoto album cover when he was tracked down by TMZ. The “Rack City” artist came under fire this week for his latest album’s risqué cover art, with many calling it pornographic and accusing him of disrespecting the Japanese flag.

The former Cash Money signee shared the Kyoto cover art on Monday (January 22) via Instagram, thanking Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama for his work.

“I been wanting to make this album for a while now but didn’t have the confidence and the story to express my true emotions,” he began. “I thank all the love and support you have given me over the years. Thru my ups and downs,At My highest and my lowest points.Thru my brightest and darkest hours. This album is me opening my heart to you and I hope you enjoy it and love it as much as I do. THANK YOU GOD ALWAYS .

He added, “Thank You Hajime Sorayama for allowing me to share this experience with the world thru your creative art & my vision.”

Shortly after the artwork was posted, social media exploded with critiques. Some users claimed the image was “furry porn.”

T-Raww didn’t back down to the wave of criticism and spoke proudly about his cover art when questioned by TMZ.

“It’s lit,” he said. “It’s art man, it’s art.”

When asked about the art being potentially offensive to the Japanese flag, he responded, “It’s not a flag, it’s a rising sun. And the artist is Japanese.” He also laughed off the notion it’s “furry porn,” saying he doesn’t even know what that is.

    1. Created by a Japanese person and the heat is on Tyga. Half the ppl criticizing it probably jerked off to it later.

    2. Last album was hot garbage. Is anyone willing to take a chance on another project? Hell no. And the album cover, is the all time worst thing I’ve seen!? I’ll pass. Tyga is played out. Played out 5 years ago.

      1. You actually listened to any of this dudes music? lol scrub. He belonged on the shelf since day 1.

    3. How the fuck is this offensive in any way? People get offended way to easy nowadays.

All the pornographic images with the American flag out there is fine apparently, but this crosses the line? Fuck outta here.

    4. I think the cover is dope. And it did what it was supposed to do which was to get people and idiot outlets talking. Mission accomplished by Tyga.

      1. And the cover will be the only thing people will talk about since nobody’s gonna listen to the actual album.
