Compton, California native Game made headlines last week when it was announced that he would be the newest signee to Cash Money Records.
During YMCMB rapper Tyga’s set at the How The West Was Won concert in Irvine, California, he congratulated Game on being the newest member of Cash Money and placed a chain baring the labels logo on it.
“I drove two hours to let everybody know that Game is signed to Cash Money Records,” Tyga said before placing the chain over Game’s neck. “Welcome to Cash Money!”
News that Game became the newest signee of one of Hip Hop’s most powerful labels came early Sunday morning. YMCMB headman Birdman took to Twitter to relay the news.
“S/O 2MY@thegame Westcoast makit Official.RICHGANG.YMCMBusine$$,” he tweeted.
Baby also followed up early Sunday morning with an Instagram picture and the caption, “S/O thagame shit to real whtup 5 west coast whts popin RICHGANG YMCMBusine$$.”
Game joins Drake, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and others as the newest member of the YMCMB family. Previously, he released five albums under the Interscope imprint.
