Like his fellow Texan Bun B, Trae Tha Truth is not happy that Texas is opening back up at full capacity.
Taking to Instagram following Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s announcement ending the statewide mask mandate in order for businesses to operate at 100 percent capacity on Tuesday (March 2), Trae called both Abbott and Texas’ electric company ERCOT “goofy.”
“I Dont find nothing funny bout what we went through in Texas Behind this Winter Freeze Issue,” he wrote. “Him & Ercot Got The State lookin Goofy.”
Not everyone shares Bun and Trae’s sentiments, however. New Yorker 50 Cent is ready to head to Texas, while Texas native Slim Thug seems pretty excited about the updates too.
“i’m headed to Texas fuck this LOL,” Fif wrote with running emojis.
Seemingly celebrating, Slim commented the hand emoji used for Houston on 50’s post and then shared an update of his own. With a screenshot of an article about the end of the mask mandate, he quoted Future writing, “MaskOff.”
In his post earlier in the day, Bun called the move “bad shit crazy” and referenced the deadly winter storm Texas endured just weeks ago that left millions without power.

Also, the analogy of blowing out a candle with a mask is pretty dumb. A virus that is less than a micron isn’t having a problem with getting through a mask. It supposedly helps stop the spread. Which there is very little evidence on that. The packaging in the masks say they aren’t for “COVID” (i.e. CCP virus). Not really made for any virus. If people are so worried about it they can still wear masks. Hell, wear 2 or 3 if it makes you feel better. Never have we made healthy people wear masks. I don’t know when it became cool to impede on other people’s freedoms, but it’s out of hand. Not just with the masks, but with our God given rights in the Constitution.

People don’t seem to understand that the only thing the Governor did was remove the mandate for people to wear masks. You can wear them if you want to, it’s just that this time no one( from the local government) will harrass you if you don’t. Businesses can still require you to wear a mask in their premises. Abbott didn’t do anything crazy – he just did what should have ALWAYS been the case.
