Tory Lanez will be spending a lot of time at home over the course of the next month as he’s been placed on house arrest.
According to TMZ, Tory Lanez (real name Daystar Peterson) has been sentenced to house arrest meaning he’ll remain in lockdown until the much-delayed trial in his shooting case against Megan Thee Stallion kicks off on November 28.
The ruling was made by a Los Angeles judge in response to an altercation the Canadian singer had last month where he was involved in a fight with August Alsina in Chicago.
Prosecutors argued on Wednesday (October 26) that Tory be “remanded to custody” because of their belief he violated the strict bail provisions when engaging in the physical incident with Alsina. The prosecution also alleged that he poses a “threat to public safety.”
Tory Lanez’s attorney, Shawn Holley, didn’t agree with the judge’s ruling as “no charges had been filed in the Alsina case, and there were only allegations.”
The “Say It” artist will start serving his house arrest on Friday (October 28) and wear an ankle monitor 24/7 until the trial begins in late November.

According to Pitchfork, the September incident is still being investigated by the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office. In an Instagram post dated September 18, Alsina claimed Lanez assaulted him after he “refused to dap him up or shake his hand.”
Lanez is accused of shooting at Megan and wounding both of her feet in July 2020. The trial was set to kick off in September, but was ultimately pushed back after Tory asked a judge to delay the start date due to his legal counsel being preoccupied with other trials.
The L.A. County D.A.’s Office charged Lanez with a felony count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and one count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle in October 2020.

I truly believe he was shooting at the ground because of the witness accounts saying Tory said “bitch dance!” Probally when the bullets bounced off the ground, some shrapnel hit her feet. 6 months in prision tops. With all the time he has already served, his sentence will probably be over the second the judge slams the gavel.
