Tink Names Her Top 3 Female Rappers

Tink recently revealed her Top 3 female emcees during an interview with HipHopWired on the red carpet of this past Sunday’s BET Music Awards.

“That’s a good question,” Tink says when asked about her Top 3 female rappers. “Lauryn Hill, of course. MC Lyte and then I wish I had the swag like Salt-N-Pepa.”

Tink also gave an update on the release date of her forthcoming studio album, #ThinkTINK.

“We’re looking at late this fall,” Tink says. “I’m big on timing. I want people to really know who I am before I just drop an album out of the blue. So yeah, we’re still biggin’ it up and I’m having fun in the process.”

Tink spoke about the sound of the album during an interview with NY Mag in early May.

“The sound is very next-level,” she said during the interview. “The message is still the same. I can never change that up. But the production and the overall sound, that’s very well put together now.”
