A Timbaland and Young Thug collaboration is evidently on the way. On Monday (October 30), the accomplished producer posted a video to his Instagram account with a caption that read, “Timbo x @thuggerthugger1 coming soon,” making it blatantly obvious he’s been hard at work in the studio with the Beautiful Thugger Girls rapper.
Dressed in a white t-shirt and rocking a pair of Beats headphones, Timbo is seen rapping along to Thug’s verses while he fiddles with a keyboard and other various instruments laying around.
This continues Timbaland’s recent trend of working with the newer generation of rappers. In September, Ski Mask The Slump God tweeted about working with Timbo. Prior to that, the veteran Virginia beatsmith also posted photos of himself in the studio with Rome Castille and 6LACK.

Also consider that a Jay-Z ticket costs over $150 these days vs a ticket for these lesser known guys are much less at $15-$35. Let’s not act like we are comparing the same things.
Frankly the whole hating on the new young guys music is getting tired. I’m an “old head” and sure we lived thru the best time of this music genre, but it’s mad cornball if you are pining for the return to that in 2017. Let the kids move in different directions. Create new and daring art. if it ain’t for you, keep it moving. There’s plenty of Action Bronson’s and Joey Badass for you. I don’t understand why everybody gotta sound like Kool G Rap cause thats what YOU liked when you were 12. Bravo Timbo for at least blessing these kids with some direction and dope production.
