Tiffany Haddish Working On Rap Album

Comedic actress Tiffany Haddish apparently wants to dip her toes in the rap world. In a new interview with The New York Times, the breakout star talked about what she wants to do outside of acting, which includes “dabbling in music” and “trying to make a rap album.”

Although Haddish didn’t specifically discuss any details surrounding her rap goals, she did open about her meteoric rise to superstardom and confess a sexual assault at 17-years-old almost ruined her.

“I literally wanted to kill myself,” she said. “I felt like everything in my life and everybody that came around was out to hurt me.”

At 21, her stepfather confessed he’d snipped her mother’s brakes and intended for Haddish and her siblings to be in the car. To this day, she’s unsure if he was telling the truth or trying to lure her out of her depression.

At the urge of a therapist, Haddish started doing stand-up comedy and the rest is history.

“The end goal,” Haddish said, “is to create intergenerational wealth and spread joy, and make sure everyone who works with me can spread the same thing and have it trickle down.”

Haddish isn’t the first comedian looking to make a rap record. In 2009, comedian Mike Epps actually pulled it off and released Funny Bidness: Da Album featuring song titles such as “The Bitch Won’t Leave Me Alone” and “Trying To Be A Gangsta.”

Young Dro, Slim Thug, Too $hort, DJ Quik, Flo Rida, Snoop Dogg and Young Jeezy were among those who contributed to the album.

    1. Well, rap is a joke now, so I guess it makes sense for comedians to do it. The south ruined Hiphop, there I said it.

      1. You sound ignorant. If you’re gonna make a claim, back it up with some points. If that’s all you gotta say about it, fuck u…

            1. No man you’re just not very smart l. And it’s ironic that you mentioned a dart. That’s one of the things they use to make this nasty woman seem funny in that commercial for the movie with the other loud idiotic comedian (Kevin Hart). If you want to learn what real comedy is (probably not bc ur too stupid to even pass a GED exam) look into Leslie Nielsen or Eddie Murphy.

      That’s fucked up. Amazing story.

    3. There is nothing funny or talented about this woman. Given how rap is right now.m, those qualities (or less thereof) will make her successful.

        1. No you have the intelligence of an 8 year old. Her humor is childish, vulgar and just not funny. She’s a hack who makes people with no brain power think she’s funny because she’s loud and nasty.

      1. My man, I’m gonna have to disagree with you totally here. She’s pretty funny when she’s in her element…but i agree with most, when she tries too hard, she gets too loud and obnoxious. But she’s damn funny.

    4. It seems like every woman in existence now has a “sexual assault as a teen depression story” to tell, the ones that don’t feel left out…….

    5. She’s ugly, everybody knows if you wanna be a succes female rapper you have to have to look good, nobody listens to Nicki we look at her having sex with the thin air when she’s on stage and shxt.
