The Game is continuing to put in work toward ending violence in urban communities with the establishment of his “Yo Mama, My Mama” campaign. The Compton, California rapper bought $1,000 in groceries for a local family that he selected through Instagram. The first recipient was Yvette Hicks, a mother of eight who raised her children on her own after a divorce. Her daughter Eunice submitted a video explaining why her mother deserved some help.
TMZ caught up with The Game to hear about his thought process behind “Yo Mama, My Mama.”
“I figure with all this tragedy, and all the brothers killing each other, cops killing brothers, brothers killing cops, the one thing that people care about the most around the world is their mothers,” he says. “So if we can pay it forward and make my mama your mama and you look at somebody, you’re like, yo, man, you helped somebody’s mom across the street. Or you ask her how her day is going or you just do anything for someone else’s mother as if it was your own, the guy whose mother that is might not be inclined to do something to you based on your mother.”
The rapper documented the adventure at Ralph’s supermarkey on his Instagram page where he and the family, along with model Zulay Henao had fun riding on the shopping carts and playing Pokémon Go.
After the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile at the hands of police officers earlier this month and the killings of police officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge, tension between law enforcement and urban communities is high.
The Game and Snoop Dogg took the initiative by leading a peaceful rally to meet with the LAPD and seek to remove fear between the two parties. The two West Coast legends also held a summit for Los Angeles gang members where Bloods and Crips came together to agree on a peace treaty to stop violence in their communities.
Even The Game’s son, Harlem Taylor, has gotten in on the movement. He started a GoFundMe campaign for an Arkansas police officer who builds relationships with Black people in the community.

Amazing. This a model for what all rappers and celebrities should be doing. Mad respect for Game.
He is another rapper with a court date coming up… Just tryna look good for the judge.
Damn this makes ya heart warm. On ya Game
Extremely cheap PR-stunt. I could give a thousand reasons why this is disgusting, and only one why it is not. But fuck it, shit like this goes on all the time everywhere. I’d rather ignore it and concentrate on my own well being. This world is coming to an end anyway.
Damn! Game! come to Africa and donate some food son
Fuck yo mamma!
The question is why the hell does a women have 8 kids when she can’t afford to propperly care for them without assistance? We live with so many worthless and ignorant ppl in this nation… I’m all about survival of the fittest, fuck a handout
Yo chill out dude
She just doesn’t have enough money to buy condoms
GAME STR8 BEASTIN ON THESE NICCAS
Love what the Game is doing. But one has to think, that if you can’t afford to take care of children, why have triple than the average family? Oh yeah, because the more you have, the more money you get from the state, duhh.
Your a STUPID. Full stop
he should gotten all their tubes tied
Don’t this nigga got a court date coming up… he doing the same shit T.I and meek mill was doing.
WHY DOES HE HAS TO POST IT ON
LINE…WHY CAN’T HE DO IT QUIETLY..
It’s part of a campaign…..
Yeah its a good course and everything and I absolutely applaud him but does he really have to document every occasion he helps someone?
That’s The Documentary
Salute to brother Chuck for doing this. It’s way better than keeping quite and doing nothing for the community. GodBlessYou! But how long is the grocery going to last for? What then?
Game you a real one for this
Much respect to Game
Nothing more then a publicitystunt because he has a courtdate coming up. Rappers will do everything for publicity and money escpescially Game.
Athletes and famous actors and all do the same thing. Of course it is for publicity. If I was rich id do shit for people close to me not just random strangers unless I was trying to bang them. It doesn’t make someone a jerk its just I don’t want to do anything nice for someone who is a jerk. They are probably the same morons who cut me off on the road, didn’t use a turn signal or just were rude to me at a store. Ill do nice stuff for the people close to me who don’t piss me off.
Actually your the problem, Because of all the pain and suffering ppl go through and whats been happening in the world. The first
you do is find a problem with someone doing something positive. How about you bitch at the hundreds of celebrities that don’t do nothing but pocket their money and become Divas and leave the one’s who help ppl and their communities along. There’s other places you could direct your hate, cause right now you look and sound like an asshole.
Why does this lady have EIGHT muafuckin’ kids? On the real.
You like fucking that much, can’t take the pill or is your man’s pull out game THAT weak? Eight kids might be a choice, but its a horrible one. Through and through.
pssshhh…you know this hood rat already on dat EBT card with the rest of da hood government moochies…
