Tay-K Criticizes His Management & Label For How He’s Portrayed In Media

Tay-K was sentenced to 55 years prison for his role in the 2016 murder of 21-year-old Ethan Walker, but he’s not happy with how he’s publicly perceived.

After being indicted on another murder charge earlier this month, the incarcerated rapper called out his management and label for encouraging him not to speak out against his portrayal in the media via Twitter on Saturday (November 23).

“I wanna apologize to all my fans and supporters for letting my management and label convince me that it wouldn’t be a good decision to speak out against the way the media makes me look and the complete lies they spread,” he wrote. “but I’m gonna make sure the truth about my life and my character gets out with or without management or a label. And whoever don’t like it fuck you.”

Tay-K, whose real name is Taymor McIntyre, signed with 88 Classic after his single “The Race” became a hit in 2017. He believes his team hasn’t properly defended him in the media, so he plans to start addressing matters publicly — with or without their approval.

“The way the media inaccurately portrays me has affected my life directly,” he claimed. “So instead of waiting on my ‘team’ to get the bright idea to speak up on my behalf, things will be done differently… Of course I’m not perfect or nothing, but I’m most definitely not this monster that they try to portray me as. with that being said, I also apologize for the way I may have presented myself, I was young and inconsiderate.”

Tay-K is currently awaiting trial after being accused of killing Mark Anthony Saldivar in San Antonio. The 19-year-old rapper allegedly shot Saldivar during a robbery in 2017.

Last August, Tay-K was transferred to Bexar County Jail following a murder and robbery conviction in Tarrant County, Texas. The Bexar County District Attorney’s Office announced his indictment on a capital murder charge in November.

      1. That’s exactly what he means. He’s not happy with how the media is portraying him. Yes, he took those pictures, but the media used that against him.

E.i… He’s a studio gangster that fucked up, and got caught up, now he’s upset that the media portrays him in a negative light.

    2. this kid has no one but himself and his own actions to blame for how the ‘media’ is portraying him. but what does he really care anyway? his life is already over at 19 years old. you’d think what a few blogs on the internet say about this kid would be the least of his worries

    3. ” I don’t like how the media portrays me!” he says, as he poses for a pic from the floor of his cell gesturing like he’s firing two pistols. SMH

      1. Sorry bruh, this ain’t a video game. Murder someone, go to jail and rot. You have compassion, great. Where was this kids compassion when he shot someone? Where were his role models? Fix your community and this shit wouldn’t happen multiple times every day in America.

    4. So funny “how many team potrays me in media “ takes picture pretending to be holding two Guns in a prison cell , did it to yourself dumb ass

      1. Chocolates commit more mass shootings. Both per capita and in overall number. Even with all those dead pink kids, they still graduate more ya dummy

          1. I’m not sure if you’re slow or brainwashed (probably both). Did you just blame whites (pinks) for black people committing exponentially more violent crime than all other races? You my friend get Donkey of the month
