Tay-K Allegedly Started “Rug-Rats” Gang In Jail

Prosecutors have submitted documents alleging Tay-K assaulted a fellow inmate and attempted to start a new gang called the Rug-Rats while behind bars.

According to Fort Worth Star-Telegram, prosecutors alleged the once burgeoning 18-year-old rapper even laid out a list of rules for the gang called the “Laws Of Power.”

They include not snitching “if caught in illegal activities,” never stealing from a fellow Rug-Rat or disobeying a higher rank and “no hurting or slaughter of children, unless necessary.” The rules also state members must be “jumped in” or voted in by a sergeant and couldn’t leave unless “jumped out” or two sergeants gave the member their blessing.

Above all, “Love, respect, protect and cherish your fellow Rug-Rat always,” the rules read.

Prosecutor Bill Vassar filed the notice on Thursday (February 28) in an effort to prove Tay-K has been involved in several other crimes both while out in the streets and incarcerated. In the documents, there are 27 examples of crimes and bad behavior.

The notice also says Tay-K talked about forming “Rug-Rats despite that he is already a self-admitted member of the Long Beach Insane Crips.”

In addition, the notice alleges Tay-K hit another inmate on the side of the head and/or banged the inmate’s head against the wall last July. Subsequently, the inmate was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital by ambulance.

The 18-year-old is awaiting trial where he’ll face two counts of capital murder and one count of robbery.

He stands accused of the July 2016 robbery and fatal shooting of 21-year-old Ethan Walker, the May 2017 aggravated robbery of a 65-year-old man in Arlington and the robbery and fatal shooting of 23-year-old Mark Anthony Saldivar in San Antonio in April 2017.

Tay-K remains in the Tarrant County Jail.

    1. In what world does a gang, especially a prison gang, have the word “rat” in their name??

      1. It’s the new reality where gangster rappers kiss each other on there mouth openly Birdman-Lil Wayne ,wear dresses and finger nail polish “Young Thug”,tell when they’re being threatened on the internet “Kanye”, walk around looking like Rainbow Bright committing crimes than Snitch on everyone when they get caught “Tek69”, and “Eminem “is the hardest in the game. Things sure have changed in this industry and not only did it dilute the message and quality of the music but, its trickle down effect on the streets creates Rugrat gangters that listen to Rugrat mumble rap, the cycle continues. Scarface and Ice Cube warned us about this 25 years ago “Hand of the Dead Body”. Wake up.
