T.I. Issues Swift Clapback To Raven-Symone After She Co-Signs Speech’s Criticism

Actress Raven-Symone caught flak for a comment about Hip Hop artists, including T.I., that she co-signed over the weekend.

Symone reposted a tweet by Arrested Development’s Speech criticizing JAY-Z, Swizz Beatz, T.I. and the other rappers who posed in a Grammy weekend photo that previously went viral. In her caption to the repost, the former The View co-host appeared to approve of Speech’s criticism.

In his comment, Speech blasted the rappers for profiting off “perpetuating the worst Black stereotypes.”

Symone has since deleted the repost and offered the following explanation for the deletion:

“Deleted my post because the comments were not something I want my underage followers looking at. I’m not deleting because I don’t believe in what I said.”

Although Raven’s repost is no longer present on her Instagram page, news of her approving of Speech’s comment did make its way back to T.I., and his response was immediate.

“@ravensymone Our sins ain’t no greater than yours ma’am. The air must be thin as hell up there on that high horse you sittin on. Somebody please let me know…WTF up wit shawty?,” he wrote.

Symone has yet to issue a response to T.I.’s comment. As for Speech, the Arrested Development founder fully stands by the remarks he made.

“A lot of Hip Hop artists have been congratulated by a white supremacist system of thinking that congratulates people…And puts out music that pretty much promotes our destruction,” Speech said in a video he uploaded to social media on Sunday (February 4).

Speech’s criticism is nothing new though. As he notes in the above video, “It’s stuff that I’ve been saying for 25 years.”

    1. Yeah of course! White People make Rappers, join Gangs, be criminals and then rap about it to make millions of Dollors with it. Its hilarious how that dude is trying to blame other People for the actions of these rappers. SMFH.

      1. Yes,WHITE PEOPLE do make rappers, join gangs,be criminals and then rap about it to make BILLIONS!What do you think the political parties are? What do you think the police system is a social club? What do you think white nationalist are? What do you think the tea party is/was?What do you think the catholic church is/was? Everyone else can grow and evolve from an oppressive system to become a better person in this society BUT black people.TI never blamed anyone else for his actions, you can’t afford to be this stupid in this day and age.

    2. Oh I’m sorry T.I., we all don’t live in fantasy land where you can commit violent crimes and traffik drugs and guns and not suffer the consequences. IF T.I. doesn’t like being called a woman beating, drug and gun dealing, violent criminal; then maybe he shouldn’t have committed those crimes. Yet this violent, racist, misogynist criminal thinks he should get a free pass and be able to run his mouth. T.I.’s thinks his sins aren’t greater than Raven Symone’s? This guy must be on drugs… She is a victim, T.I. is an offender… Even in this crazy day and age there is a difference.

      1. “I’m sorry T.I., we all don’t live in fantasy land where you can commit violent crimes and traffik drugs and guns and not suffer theI consequences.”

Bruh he did all of the above and is a multi millionaire. That doesn’t happen in fantasy land it happens in America. Get off your judgmental high horse and look around this country was built off corruption and still thrives off of it. Also, when the F did he get accused of being a woman beater? Did you just make this up?

        1. He assaulted a female police officer… And yes fantasy land, guy wants to claim he is a saint and virtue signal with such a reckless and violent past, no you don’t get a pass for being convicted on multiple felony charges, how is this piece of shit still not in jail?

    3. Speech must have an album coming out. Music is entertainment just as movies, books and plays are. But, I guess it is considered art when Al Pacino is portraying Scarface or The Godfather, and it is perpetuating are stereotype when Rappers make songs about the same subjects.

      1. Actors are known as actors, its well known that they are ACTORS portraying a character and that in real life they arent that way. Rappers try their hardest to fool people into believing that they are what they portray. They tell you its their real life. That they are really about it. Can you with all honesty tell me that rappers are comparable to actors? will rappers be happy to be called actors that are portraying a fake persona and all for entertainment?

      2. All of those felonies committed by T.I., the assault, the drug manufacturing, distribution, possession, the automatic weapons charge, the parole and probation violations was just him acting? This guy should be in jail, how the fuck can someone mess up over and over and constantly be given slap on the wrist after slap on the wrist. I know people who’s lives have been destroyed by the justice system for far less… stop the madness indeed.
