$uicideBoy$ Squash Break-Up Rumors With “Hung Up On The Come Up”

Despite rumors that a break-up was looming, $uicideBoy$ are pressing forward with a new single titled “Hung Up On The Come Up.” The track follows the Louisiana duo’s latest album I Wanna Die In New Orleans, which was released last month.

Along with the track, $crim and Ruby Da Cherry also shared their plans to release an exclusive merch line later this week.

$uicideBoy$ are expected to perform two sold-out shows to wrap up October. Their quick three-date run culminates on Halloween in St. Paul, Minnesota.

There’s a rumor floating around suggesting the $uicideBoy$ have broken up. After $crim posted an ominous tweet asking for help with fellow member Ruby Da Cherry, fans concluded it signified the end of the New Orleans duo.

$crim said in a since-deleted tweet, “Please send posi vibes to @SuicideChrist he is in a dark place and I need your help getting him out.”

He then updated his Twitter bio to read, “RETIRED TILL & IF I FEEL LIKE DROPPING A TAPE.”

$crim shed a little more light on the situation earlier this week. On Thursday (September 27), he asked for time to work on Ruby’s “personal issues,” which some assumed were related to substance abuse problems.

“I DONT ASK 4 MUCH. BUT AS A FAMILY & UNIT, PLEASE GIVE US TIME AND SPACE TO HANDLE ME & @suicideLEOPARD PERSONAL!!!! ISSUES,” he wrote in all caps. “I HAVE LOVE FOR HIM THAT WILL NEVER FADE. CALL ME WUT U WANT. MAKE FUN. BUT WE WILL FIGURE IT OUT, BETTER OR WORST WHICH I HOPE AINT THE CASE.”

$crim continued with, “AND REMEMBER WE ARE HUMANS. NOT SUPER BEINGS. ITS NOT LIKE I HAVE AN ALBUM IN THE TOP 10 EVERY WEEK. THIS IS A LOT AND IMA VERY ISOLATING PERSON. I DONT TRUST PPL & IM SORRY. AND THERE IS ALWAYS TWO SIDES TO A STORY SO PLEASE. SPACE. LET US HANDLE IT LIKE HUMANS. THANK YOU.”

The announcement comes on the heels of the duo’s latest album, I Want To Die In New Orleans, which was released on September 7.
