Solange Cancels Her Coachella Performances

One month after releasing the When I Get Home album, Solange was set to take the stage at the 2019 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. But just days before her first performance on Saturday (April 13), Coachella announced Solange canceled her sets for both weekends.

“Due to major production delays, Solange will unfortunately no longer be performing at this year’s festival,” the festival revealed on Twitter. “She sends her sincerest apologies, and looks forward to performing at Coachella in the future.”

While the tweet was met with a thread of unhappy fans, TMZ reports Solange’s last-minute cancellation was due to her band getting sick.

Sources say Solange was forced to pull out of the event because the majority of her band became ill and she was unable to find replacements. After trying out several alternative musicians, Solange reportedly decided she’d rather cancel than put on a less-than-perfect show.

The 2019 Coachella Festival is scheduled to begin on Friday (April 12). The event will feature performances by Childish Gambino, Kid Cudi and Pusha T, among others.

Kanye West is also set to stage a special edition of his Sunday Service at Coachella on April 21.

    1. Hopefully she gives up after living in my shadow for so long. Everyone knows she has no talent. Not sure I made so many idiots think I did either

    2. Nobody wanted to see her perform, so they couldn't give her a prime slot. She got offended and pulled the do you know who I am card.... they didnt know who she was. says:

I’m sure her “fans” were dissapointed.
