The 2019 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has added Kanye West to its lineup for a special edition of his Sunday Service.
The G.O.O.D. Music founder will bring his weekly series to the festival grounds in Indio, California for Easter Sunday (April 21). Kim Kardashian West and Coachella each shared Twitter videos of Yeezy announcing the news.
Kanye had previously been rumored to be one of Coachella’s headliners, but the two sides reportedly couldn’t come to an agreement due to his stage demands.
The Easter edition of Kanye’s Sunday Service will be the first one available to the public. The full extent of what happens at the events is unknown because the congregation reportedly must sign non-disclosure agreements to attend.

Video clips and pictures from the series are often shared on social media, revealing it to be a religious gathering and jam session. Longtime Kanye collaborator Tony Williams said the goal of Sunday Service is to “communicate the message of love effectively.”
Kanye’s Easter Sunday Service will take place on the final day of Coachella 2019. The festival is scheduled to begin on April 12 and features Childish Gambino as one of its headliners.
