Snoop Dogg has gifted pop superstar Ed Sheeran and actor Russell Crowe with gold Death Row Records chains during the Melbourne, Australia stop of his I Wanna Thank Me Tour.
Footage of the star-studded hangout surfaced on social media over the weekend, and showed the unlikely trio kicking it backstage at Snoop’s concert at the Rod Laver Arena.
Tha Doggfather could be seen smoking while chatting it up with Sheeran and Crowe, who were delighted to share the moment with the West Coast rap legend.
To commemorate the chill session, Snoop gifted his celebrity friends their own gold Death Row Records chains. Ed Sheeran seemingly couldn’t wait to have Snoop place the chain around his neck, while Russell Crowe was seen admiring the neckpiece from its red gift box.
Sheeran shared a photo of himself and Snoop Dogg posing for the camera with a caption that read: “I had a very good time.”
“Amazing. Mr Ed,” Snoop wrote in his own Instagram post showing him placing the Death Row chain around the English singer’s neck.

Snoop Dogg had a hell of a time in Melbourne as he shared more footage of his back-to-back shows and hanging out in the city. Snoop also shared fan letters from fans in Australia who were happy to see him perform in their homeland.
Snoop giving out Death Row chains has become a familiar sight. In January 2022, the 51-year-old kept his promise and gave Eli Manning a Death Row chain for his 41st birthday.
“Oh yeah, there she is, that’s what we’re talking about,” Manning said in a social media video as he opened the box. “Snoop, thank you pal, now I finally fit in with all of my neighbors. So I’m definitely going to be wearing it in the playoff game on Monday Night Football.”
Golden State Warriors All-Star guard Steph Curry received one last summer when a video of Snoop putting it around his neck surfaced online.
“Had to give the MVP his death row chain,” Snoop wrote in the video’s caption. Atlanta star LaKeith Stanfield also slid into Snoop’s comments and wrote: “I want [one] unc.”
If that weren’t enough, movie star Jamie Foxx received his own Death Row chain during the red carpet premiere of their Netflix film Day Shift.
“Yeah I got something for the Foxx man, you know, for looking out for me, for speaking up for me, for putting me in this motion picture,” Snoop told Entertainment Tonight. “I wanted to gift him with something special.”
He then handed Foxx the red box labeled Death Row Records, and for a moment, the “Blame It” star was in disbelief.
“You gotta be kidding me, man,” he said. “You gotta be kidding me, man. This better not be what I think it is ’cause I saw everyone else getting one and I didn’t wanna say nothing in the interview.”
He continued: “The Death Row chain, man. Rose gold, and let me tell you why that’s so significant. I watched this man as a young artist sometimes have to fight for his life, and he was giving everybody anthems and songs. While we were partying and dancing sometimes he’d come to the crib and he’d be like, ‘I don’t know.’
“So for this day to come to here for us to see him bloom, it’s special. To see him kicking ass in this movie as an actor, and at the same time anybody can tell you, Snoop is the ambassador of grace, entertainment and fun.”
He added: “Anytime you say Snoop Doggy Dogg, your soul lights up. So for this moment right here. It means everything my dude.”
