Slick Rick is helping assist food insecurity in the Bronx.
The “Children’s Story” legend partnered with City Harvest and Feed Direct for an annual Thanksgiving giveaway for the borough, hit hardest amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rick took to Instagram on Thursday (November 25) and showcased the event alongside members of Fresh Direct thankful for the opportunity.

A long line wrapped around the Northeast Bronx YMCA for meals in the area and many who received turkeys left with a smile on their face.

The giveaway was the second known Turkey giveaway in the Bronx. Fat Joe hit three spots, beginning with his Mott Haven Up Top store to donate turkeys to those in need.
