    1. SMH who says whats the best Hip Hop song of all time??? We’d be all year trying to narrow it down, but this song is the last song that I would put number 1.

    2. Lil’ Wayne’s throwaway tracks are better than The Message! Rack City, B.M.F, Birthday, Aston Martin Music, The Motto, Superbass,…..10000 other songs > The Message!

I’m not trolling! Just my honest opinion. And dont give me shit about you aint real hip hop! fuck outta here!

      1. hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahaahhahahahahahahhahahahhahahhahahahhahahha

      2. Thank you for showing us how retarded you are Mista Short bud driver. Go hide under a rock and die you clown. 2 blow jobs that is. Lame.

      1. look nigga, Sugarhill Gang weren’t even a real hip hop group. They were basically three guys from Englewood (WTF?!) that got thrown together and were told to do a rap song. All the reals MC’s in NY got pissed the fuck off about that shit.

      2. I swear to god i was thinking the samething. If it really is a such thing as best song ever(another dumbass statement made by nerds wit jobs on websites) Rappers Delight have to be the best song. Its all opionated tho.

    3. “I take 7 MCs put em in a line…and add 7 more brothers who think they can rhyme…Well it will take 7 more before I go for mine…Now that’s 21 Mcs ate up at the same time.”

“My Melody” by Eric B and Rakim is the best hip hop song ever!

    4. Any list of “The 50 Greatest [Anything] of All Time” is bound to piss people off. Stop getting butt-hurt over a magazine’s opinion, they are entitled to theirs as much as all of you are entitled to theirs. Instead of hating based on artists you are familiar with that didn’t make the cut, you should use the list as a guideline for music you could potentially like.

From eight tracks they have announced have made the cut it seems to be a very respectful list in regards to the history of Hip-Hop. Just because an artist you like didn’t make #1 doesn’t mean anything. Enjoy the wonderful music contained in this list, and if you don’t like it, then that’s fine. Listen to what you do like and enjoy it. Why waste time spreading negative energy online when we are all here based on the love for Hip-Hop music?

      1. Irrelevant because of their skin color? loL. I bet Rakim, Jay, Nas, Eminem all agree the song is worthy of #1. Guess you didn’t get “The Message”………..

    5. Thats a fair pick. Debatable, but its most definitely one of the greatest rap songs of all time. Im cool with this…

    6. At the end of the day it’s all opinion. Whoever put this shit at number one ain’t the King of Hip Hop. He can have his opinion, but it doesn’t mean shit to me.

    7. It is definitely a top contender, it was the first rap song to shed light on the negatives of living in the ghetto.

    8. What about Niggaz Done Started Somethin? That shit was the best. Fuck Rolling Stone. Just for that they won’t get to preview my new Xmas album, “Rudolph The White Nosed Reindeer”.

    9. Rolling Stone are pretty terrible at hip hop reviews. I remember when Wiz Kalifa made the front cover and they called him the greatest thing to come to hip hop since Eminem.

    10. ITZ 2 HARD 2 SAY WAT THE BEST SONG EVER WAS DOE BUT A GOOD PICK DIFFERENT GENERATIONS WOULD ALL HAVE DIFFERENT SONGS DAT DEY FEEK WAS DA BEST

      FUCK WIT ME SOUNDCLOUD.COM/REEK313

    11. 2pac and Biggie are the most overrated rappers ever. they are good but overrated because they died and thats a fact.

    12. Not a racist, but some whites need to stay away from HIP HOP… please.. No more Rolling Stones reviews.. stick to rock…

    13. Funny beacuse this list represents REAL hip hop music by REAL artist and that is why all you little fuckboys nowadays who are too concerned with saying the word swag, wearing your kid sisters pants, rocking pink hoodies and possessing the lyrical ability of a friggin’ grapefruit can’t relate. It is 2012 and in order to appreciate hip hop music as a culture you NEED to do your homework. This is some of the most influential, creative, and groundbreaking hip hop ever. I would replace some with others but I have been down since day one so I can say that. Did you really think Rick Ross,2 Chainz,Drake/Wayne or Wizzyboy slut impregnator or any garbage on YMCMB with it’s migraine inducing bullshit pop bubble gum bitch shit was gonna be on here?…REALLY?…No…like REALLY?…bwahahaha!Shut the fu@# up now and sit down little youngin’. The difference with nw and back then was so much quality dope shit was constantly coming out so it was EASY to see who was wack. Now everybody is mostly wack and none othe new generation except(Kendrick, Black hippy,Meek,Cole) is bringing it on the REAL tip. We came from a harder time growing up where you had to be tough. Not like now where these little bitch kids would rather cry, talk shit on a computer, back out when they get confronted, and personify the pussy image your generation has created. Pimp C said your embarrassing us cuz guess what?…you are!No Classic albums and Kendrick’s was dope but compared to the late 80’s and 90’s era…shit!…can’t hold a friggin candle. if you don’t believe me then listeen to half of these artists cd’s. Too worried about sayin gthat fruti ass word SWAG when it originated from homosexuals in San Francisco?Go figure huh. Our dead na doverrated rappers will always and are better than any bullshit you got so keep trying little youngin’ cuz you can copy and duplicate all you want but you just come up shirt cuz the bar was set WAY TO HIGH back in the day. Ddeal with it and move forward ya little pink candy wearin pussy fuckin faggots!(Screwball-F.A.Y.B.A.N. 99′)
