Rihanna Suing Her Father For Allegedly Stealing Fenty Name

Rihanna is reportedly taking he father to court. According to TMZ, RiRi claims Ronald Fenty founded a talent development company in 2017 called Fenty Entertainment despite her existing Fenty trademark.

The Barbadian superstar trademarked “Fenty” for multiple business ventures, including her popular Fenty Beauty line. She believes her dad is profiting off the reputation she’s already established with the brand.

Documents obtained by TMZ state RiRi’s father and a business partner claimed they were her reps in order to solicit millions of dollars. In 2017, they allegedly tried to book Rihanna for 15 shows in Latin America without her consent.

RiRi also says her father attempted to trademark “Fenty” for resort boutique hotels. As a result, multiple cease and desist letters were fired off to her father to no avail.

The 30-year-old beauty mogul wants a judge to place an injunction on her father to stop him from using the Fenty name and is seeking an unspecified amount in damages.

    1. She’s engaged to a billionaire and she needs to sue her own Father? Money can’t buy you good character. SUCH TRASH.

      1. It’s a brand name fucking idiot. It is against the law to use a trademarked brand name, especially when literally scamming in order to make millions of your daughter’s established image.

    2. Wow!! Suing your pops is not a good look. Even if half of it is true STILL not a good look! That issue can be worked out! Smmh

    3. I think the culture of everybody suing everybody is stupid, but it’s even more stupid if you’re suing a family member.
